I have two decks which are very close to a neighbor’s. I was looking for something to provide privacy, durable and weather proof in outdoor environment, low maintenance, and looking good. I ran into this unique product while searching on Amazon. There are a few vendors but this one has the pattern I love the most. Overall I’m happy.Things I am happy about- Meet the criteria I am looking for- Delivery on time and in good packages- Decent quality, easy to put to together, nice design, modern pattern- Sales team reached out proactively and offered knowledge to address issues mentioned in other reviews.Things you should be aware of- Corten steel color will not be in that kind of consistent bright red tone as it shown in the picture. The panels I got are “ orange-brown and red-orange ” tone, but not like that in the picture. You would need to paint it if you like it that way. And in that case you may want to go with non rustic corten steel to make it easy to work with.- The issues mentioned in other review about corten steel is true. In my case I don’t want my small decks become dirty and not usable, so I seal it before I put them up- I appreciate the sales passed the knowledge so that I can prepare to seal it otherwise I wouldn’t be happy with the purchase, but this kind of metal sealer turns out to be rare and expensive, and took a LOT of effort and time to seal rustic corten steel for outdoor usage. I bought 4 sets and did 2 layers of sealing (the sealer product suggests 3-4 layers but I ran out of time), took me 15hr+ to prepare and seal them, and the chemical smell almost killed me.As you can see in the attached photos, the sealed panels look consistently dark and have red-bronze reflection under the sun. A couple minor issues but overall the quality is good. I will recommend non corten steel ones unless you absolutely love the patterns, don’t plan to seal it, or doesn’t mind the effort. Oh, also do search online and get the idea what corten steel looks like.
