Effective and Reliable Bait That Gets Results

This bait has been a game changer in helping us manage a recent mouse problem. I had been noticing signs of mice around our garage and near the chicken coop, and after trying a few other methods with minimal success, I decided to give this a try—and I’m so glad I did.Within just a couple of days of setting out the bait, I started seeing a noticeable drop in activity. It’s clearly effective and has worked exactly as intended. The mice were drawn to it quickly, and unlike traps that require constant resetting, this approach gave us consistent results with less effort. What I also appreciate is that the bait is easy to place strategically in problem areas, and it holds up well without making a mess. I’ve used it both indoors and outdoors (in secure bait stations), and it performed well in both settings. If you’re dealing with stubborn rodents, this is a great product to keep on hand. Highly effective, easy to use, and delivers real results. Definitely recommend!

Use Rat Bait Boxes, don’t kill unintended animals by ‘’Throwing the blocks around’’.

This product works very well. We live in a neighborhood with lots of backyard fruit trees. I saw a rat a few years ago and decided to try Tomcat. I purchased it and 6 rat bait stations. The triangular rat stations are black and triangular. They work for mice as well, however ‘’Mouse stations’’ (also sold and triangular) are too small for rats, so get the rat stations for both species. It is easy to use with the rat bait stations. Don’t throw this stuff around and then feel badly when you see baby squirrels and rabbits dying. .Bromethalin does not have secondary toxicity. If a hawk or fox eats a poisoned rat, that animal will not be poisoned.Purchase 6 or so bait stations and set them at intervals along walls around your property. Initially they will be hit hard as a lot of rats will eat, so check the bait every 48 hours or so. After a time, they will last much longer. Over time, they will be sentinels. Keeping rats and mice away.Once again, these are poison. They are intended to kill rats and mice. If used without a bait box, they will kill dogs, cats, and most any animal in the area. I know that I sound like a nag, but reading so many reviews where people are throwing them around and then complaining when they kill animals causes me to scratch my head in wonder.

Bromethalin is very effective. Affordable too.

The active ingredient in this rodenticide is bromethalin.Unlike first and second generation rodenticides which function as anti-coagulants, bromethalin is a neurotoxin, making it far more effective and faster. First and second generation rodenticides usually require a rat to eat quite a bit of the poison, then you have to wait another 5 to 7 days for the creature to die. Usually more than a week passes before the creature died. This doesn't sound like much, but a week of damage in your garden or in your house can be rather significant. With Bromethalin, one single lethal dose is all that is required to kill the creature. The rat usually dies around 3 days later.Bromethalin, because it is so effective, is also very toxic to humans and pets, so it is far more likely to affect non-targeted creatures too.You will need to wear gloves as it can be absorbed through the skin. Be careful not to inhale small dust particles, although that is unlikely to happen as it comes in blocks. There is no antidote available for Bromethalin poisoning, should someone ingest it, so be very careful if you have kids or pets in the backyard.Unlikely first and second generation rodenticides that are generally less toxic to groundhogs and opossums, bromethalin will kill them. They are not meant to be used that way and it may even be illegal in some areas to kill these creatures using bromethalin, so try not to leave these lying around in your garden in the open. You might end up with more than just dead rats. The same goes for any pets in the area. It is advisable to only use Bromethalin in suitable devices that have a small hole large enough for mouse or rats.Bromethalin is an effective tool for controlling the population of mice and rats in your garden. I really like this product as it is effective, yet affordable too. I find that I use less of this compared to less effective rodenticides. I prefer the blocks compared to the small rice-like granules packets. The granular packets often contain too much bait every per packet. The blocks are much easier to spread and are a smaller portion too. They fit well in mice traps. Using one or two at a time is enough for a particular spot, so they last a long time. There is one thing to note: These are best suited for outdoor or garden use. The reason is that if you use these indoors, the rats are likely to end up dying behind a wall, in the air vent, or in some unknown corner of the house. The smell is not pleasant and can last for a few weeks. If you are looking to handle mice that are inside the house, I would recommend getting an electric mouse trap. That way, they do not end up rotting behind some furniture or wall. This rodenticides are best reserved for outdoor use.

Very effective---but fat rats can get stuck inside!

We have had a rodent problem under our porch for the last several years. I've used three of these bait stations outside the most obvious openings to that space. They work well. I've had to replace the baits as they are nibbled away and I've seen several dead vermin in the yard and on the driveway over the last few seasons. So, that's all good. The only downside is that on two occasions, I've had rats who have entered the bait station; feasted on the bait and then died inside the station! On one occasion, we were able to knock the rat out of the station and continue to use the station. However, yesterday, I had one that was solidly wedged in place. I ended up tossing the station and the rat and buying a new station. Might end up replacing them with a larger bait station (like I see outside restaurants) next time around. Not sure.

Works quick and great for outdoor bait stations

This kills them dead! I pat a little bit of peanut butter powder on these and within a week all my mice were gone. I was literally sweeping them up.
