It's a good idea, but it broke after only a few uses. I cannot recommend it, as the first one also broke pretty quickly.

For a few weeks , it was working fine, but then the switch started giving problems. Doesn't switches on .. have to try in different positions, minutely, then can get it to work.

This is a fairly straightforward item. It has a flexible neck which makes lighting a candle in a jar very easy, plus there is an on/off switch in addition to the “on” switch that lights it, so there is that little extra security. To me, the noise is not an issue at all — it’s so brief and not loud that I wouldn’t even mention it except other reviews have noted it. It’s a bit of a crackle/buzz. But, we currently do not have pets so I can’t speak to how they feel about it.

The media could not be loaded.  I had been looking for a candle lighter for a while. I had seen this one a few days ago as the “best seller” tons of 5 star reviews I didn’t even bother reading them. I just hit the buy now!I was like YES! Finally. It arrived, I lit my first candle (the nice ones to you turn on around 7pm) anyways the zapping sound scared my kids away. It sounds like a taser ever time. (Maybe you may like that to get rid of them LOL .After 4 attempts I managed to get 1 wick lit. ONE! I figured it was the first day, we had just fully charged it, maybe it needed some time. I waited another day or so. Today I tried a different candle from the pottery barn (amazing) it took me 10 tries to get this wick lit. TEN FINALLY I GAVE UP.I started doing the review prior to sending it back. As you can see in the video it was fully charged, about a min or less into the video the lighter dies on me. Now that I did not expect!I would not recommend this product, because obviously it doesn’t do what it’s supposed too #1, 2 I do not like the tazer sound when you turn it on, 3 the quality overall is just not there. You can feel things moving and shaking inside.Quite disappointed.Also, how do they have thousands of reviews at 5 stars? I’m literally perplexed, it’s actually making me lose faith in Amazon.
