A Child's Book of Character Building: Growing Up in God's World - At Home, at School, at Play, Book 1

Its a wonderful book that we use to teach our son Biblical character and virtues. We plan to also use this book to compliment our home school curriculum. The stories are well written and presented in a very engaging manner, that often leads into a great discussion. Our 4 year old commonly chooses this as his night time, read aloud book, not sure if it's to extend bedtime a little or because he genuinely enjoys our conversations on why each trait is so important.

I can't say enough about this book. All three of my children (5,4, 3) LOVE it and look forward to each story. We use the principles taught in this book on a daily basis. I recommend it to everyone I know who is trying to instill basic, Biblical truths in their kids. The stories are short and very true to life. My only complaint is that it's not long enough! We're so sad to be on the last character trait. Love it!

Slow shipping is my only complaint otherwise it's well done and we look at it once a week (we homeschool) to work on a lesson. It's easy to read and definitely is makes the connections for kids.

I love, love this book and wish I could find more like it. My favorite things are that it pulled scripture from the KJV bible and for each trait it applies it in four different ways- in the Bible, at home, during play and at school. My daughter is soon to be two and she loves it. I read it to her as she looks at the picture and then I ask her the questions at the end. This will be apart of our family devotion and I’m going to break it down to one character a week. It’s perfect!

I bought this to use while homeschooling my 5 and 3 year old. I really appreciate the stories and my children seem to relate to most of them as well. We are able to further discuss the topics and build godly character through these stories.

This book is engaging for my 3/4 year old and also 6/7 year old. I find these stories to be helpful in my own journey of character maturity. I will probably purchase the next book too.

valuable lessons; for example one character trait exemplified in different ways of our lives..example: church, school, etc..kids understand of early age, 5 and on... loved getting together with kids and reading/telling the story and then they'd color it... nice quality family time

My 6yo daughter is very interested in these Bible stories and character examples. Opens great doors for conversations about the gospel and about character qualities we want for our children.
