What an amazing cost effective microphone which sounds amazing! - I did however return mine as it didn’t really work with my voice .Be aware if your a streamer or podcaster or contented with a face cam , unless you are prepared to be eating the mic , it’s not the mic for you. I found even with the gain at about 90% on my scarlet interface , I had to have the capsule about an inch away from the mic to pick me up clearly. So a condenser mic is probably better suited for you for that.If your looking for an SM7B type of sound, but can’t quite afford the SM7B - get the SM57, A55M, A2WS - a bit of processing and you’ll get that sound.I have an SM7B , which I love! And comparing to the SM57 and that there is a £300 price difference I think the SM57 is awesome. Although like I mentioned earlier you have to eat the SM57 for it to pick you up clearly, whereas the SM7B is more forgiving as to how close you have to have it to your mouth.Overall , I know I returned mine as I didn’t like how it sounded with my voice , if your looking for great audio for vocal and streaming join the SM57 with the A55M shockmount and A2WS windscreen and a decent usb interface and you’ll be away !

After much research to establish this was the genuine article (there are so many fakes on the market) I finally purchased this mic. Not disappointed and it lives up to it's reputation as a very robust and great all round instrument mic.

Good quality microphone and works as intended.

If you're serious about performing and/or recording, you can do a lot worse than go with the SM57. Vocals are captured beautifully, and even recording acoustic guitar in any kind of studio entertainment provides incredible isolation, making track bleed almost non-existent.The SM57 is a very satisfying weight, and feels like a lot of microphone for the money. You can get cheaper, and you can get higher performing, but bang for your buck simply can't be better than this. To get a noticeably better performer than the SM57, you'll be looking at paying an awful lot more

Depending on how you use it i found it needs some sort of boost, ie, compression or some sort of gain which i have. The clarity of this mic is lmpressive. Well worth the price, ive always prefered a shure mic, and tis one is no exception.

Honestly who does not use this mic for a snare it's crisp and durable dropped it too many times still works like a charm I mean it's a one time purchase
