Perfect Converter to SCART for my film collection on VCR!
I wanted to add a SCART option to my new T.V. and at first I tried this Neoteck SCART to HDMI converter on my ten year old, (but very good quality ) HD 1020p T.V. but I found that whilst it did work it gave a slightly blocky picture and some judder on what should be smooth background movement, also the sound did not feed through on HDMI. I thought it was faulty, turns out it wasn't at all! It seems that current T.V.s have moved on, because as soon as I connected the same Neoteck SCART to HDMI converter to my new T.V. it works really well, both for vision and sound. Now I am able to keep using my film collection on VHS , in as good a quality as you can get from VCR tape, excellent result! Good colour and definition, smooth movement, perfect sound. This SCART converter is well made, in a neat metal case, and has an additional socket for headphones. Delivered within a day, and a good price. Can definitely recommend!

To get best results- Don't forget to adjust Picture quality from your TV handset
Had a Sony DVD player with one scart outlet could not use it on my new Sony TV; due to its scart input already be used. via a recorder. Then I discovered This Scart to HDMI converter. Please note that it does not come with a HDMI to HDMI high speed lead.? However, What Luck I already had one. I plugged it into the TV HDMI input and the other end into the HDMI output converter - then plugged my DVD player scart into the Converter and plugged the power plug ( provided) into the electric's - And behold a red light displayed. I placed a DVD film into my player and turned on. and found that To obtain a picture I had to adjust my TV set to HDMI. connection And I Immediately had a result. I had read previous criticism. about sound and colour . But this can all be adjusted via your TV set. The harsh colours received at first were soon adjusted via the TV hand set and quite honestly, the picture quality was superb and sound clear and sharp which suited my aged hearing. So ! At the moment it seems a very good investment. making use of a very good quality DVD player that I thought was obsolete . So! To-date!!! made a family very Happy, viewing all there stored DVD's . MANY THANKS B.H.

Worked well initially but getting a bit temperamental now..
Years ago I bought a Daewoo DVD Player/Recorder and have since used it to store a lot of documentaries and films as my early Sky Box did not have much space on its Hard Drive. When I recently bought a 4K UHD TV I found it did not have a Scart socket so I could no longer use the DVD, and so I looked around for a solution. After a failed attempt to buy one from China via Amazon, I decided to buy this item, although it goes against my usual policy of not buying any "new/upgraded" products until they are a few months old and any faults have been reported. So far it seems to work well and was easy to set up - just plug in the Scart input, Hdmi output and the power supply and it was working. OK, the picture quality is not UHD but it seems pretty good and providing it continues to work I am happy.A few points to note - the instructions are rather basic and apparently for the earlier version which had a USB power connector whereas this has a UK plugged mains adaptor, and instead of a switch to select either PAL or NTSC there is a small button marked 720P/1080P which is not explained. I have not used this as it seems to have selected the correct setting automatically. There is also no "On/Off" switch. One final point - it seems to "upscale" the volume considerably so remember to turn it down before activating this device.Update - after 6 weeks stopped working and power light was flashing. Perhaps I was unlucky and got a dud. Anyway Neoteck sent a replacement and that seems fine. Very good customer service.Further update - when it works it is good but it is getting increasingly temperamental. It usually takes 3 or 4 attempts to get it to start up - sometimes I get sound but no picture, sometimes picture and no sound, and sometimes nothing at all. When it does start it is fine and judging by the picture now on site I think they may have changed it again so perhaps newer ones don't have this problem. I have knocked off 1 star due to this.

Been using for well over a month now and it works fine. Very reliable - had no problems
Bought this because my new TV has no SCART input and my PVR has SCART outputs and no HDMI output. So I couldn't use my PVR.This was simple to set up - plug your SCART from your PVR in at one end, and an HDMI - HDMI cable to your TV at the other end. I chose the the mains power version of this (rather than USB). Plug it in and it works straight away. Been using for well over a month now and it works fine. Very reliable - had no problems. The instructions are sparse. In there it says don't leave on when not is use (it doesn't say why) - so I unplug when I'm not using it. There's a nice bright power light to remind you. I once accidentally left it plugged in overnight, and it still worked fine. If I had one improvement to suggest it would be to have a power switch on the device rather than having to unplug it. However, I know there is a philosophy of simplicity in design and a mechanical switch is just another thing that could go wrong.

Scart to hdmi adapter.
Plugged this in today, it's a small box with decent length power cable, doesn't seem flimsy at all, better than a plastic box. It was pretty straight forward to set up, didn't really need to read the instructions. Plugged in the scart from an old sky box in one end of the converter box and an hdmi cable to my new TV in the other, attached the power lead and plugged in. It tucks neatly behind my skybox out of sight unlike a multi scart box adapter I had once. Turned the Tv on and it worked straight away (well once I remembered to turn the skybox on that is). Obviously the picture quality is not 100% like you would get from direct hdmi connections, it is a good 99%, though that could be down to the very old version skybox and signal. Overall am happy with this purchase. If I needed to, I would consider buying again, delivery was good and arrived in good time.
