This is my first Amazon review, after buying hundreds of things over the years. I used these for the first time today with huge success with a class of year 3 and 4 children of mixed ability and size... Although I've taught performing arts for a number of years I've never taught yoga to children before, and had very little time to prepare. These cards made it easy, and the children absolutely loved it.The images are great, and fantastic as visual aids for the children, some of whom will really appreciate the visual and colourful stimulus. The guidance on the back is of each card is well written and helpful. The section categories are very handy for creating an effective and balanced lesson. I picked a card that appealed from 5 of the 9 different sections, and hey presto, I had a perfect lesson structure.Afterwards they all asked if they could each take a card home to practice!They would also be excellent for injecting some fun into adult classes, if you teach adults.Highly recommended.

As a primary teacher I can highly recommend this publication to any colleagues looking for ideas for yoga activities - I've just used them with an 'Golden Time' group of mixed ages (P1 - P7) and are they were a huge success. Despite the range of ages, and a couple of children with mild physical problems, everybody was able to attempt the poses with a good level of success.The pack is divided into different, colour-coded categories (breathing; standing postures; back bends; forward bends; games; balances; etc). This allows you to adopt a pick-n-mix approach to put together a session. Each week I choose the sections we are going to work from (I start with breathing and a balance, finish with a 'time-in' activity, and then choose 2 or 3 other categories to make up the middle section) then let volunteers choose a card from each section. This children enjoy feeling that they've designed the session.The pack is of excellent quality and the cards are durable, colourful and very engaging. One side features an illustration of the pose and on the other clear, simple instructions. I've found them very easy to use, although I have some yoga experience which, while not essential, I think does help.

These yoga cards make it easy and fun to teach simple and complex yoga poses to young children.I use these cards to help with balance as well as breaking up the activity cycle when changing from one routine to another. I also use them for movement breaks if my students and I have been sitting down too long.They are of excellent quality and can be stuck onto the walls with blue tack.

My 4 year old loves these! She also enjoys the Mindful Kids cards... they are both a lovely way to introduce some calm together time, the yoga cards in particular are fun as she tries to do all the positions. I enjoy using them too.I have taken a star off as I had to return the first box as it arrived ripped on the lid, got a replacement which then too ripped in the same place as the previous only after a couple of uses - so definitely a design fault! Such a shame!

These cards are of a high quality and perfect for children as they are hard wearing. My family love this cards, they are so fun, colourful and playful and all the family can get involved in the activities. They give a brief description of what you need to do, easy to read for children.One of my best buys from Amazon, so happy with these including my two young children. They enjoy the fact we can all have fun whilst learning and keeping fit.I will and have recommended these cards to my friends and family.

Still in use after over a year

I bought these cards to encourage my kids to do something other that sit watching you tube videos of other kids playing with toys!They are lovely cards and feel very good quality. They are a thick card which is glazed/laminated so are durable and long lasting. The box itself is useful for storing the cards in and again is good quality.My youngest daughter regularly asks me to do the pretzels with her and she enjoys all of the activities they describe.They are good for fun, for having a bit of family time, for exercise and also for allowing children and adults a bit of "meditative time"Would recommend to anyone.

I have going to a yoga class for 3 years and absolutely love it so this year I have decided to run a club at my school. I bought these cards as I wanted to add a bit of a fun element as the club is for 10 year olds. The cards are gorgeous. Lovely bright illustrations and great explanations of the poses. The box contains breathing exercises, a range of postures and group games. It will be perfect for my club and they would be great for parents to use with their kids too.
