Product Features For reptiles Tortoises Hermit crabs DIRECTIONS:Pour RepTerraTM sand into bottom of Terrarium or Vivarium to a depth of about 1.5 inches. Add more for burrowing species. RepTerra sand will dump when wet, making deaning easy with a litter scoop or spoon. Remove debris as needed and replace when a strong odor persists or at the most, after 6 months. The  RepTerra sand is a premium grade of Calcium Carbonate, ideal and safe for e with most desert species of Lizards, Snakes, Tortoises as well as Hermit Crabs. Very small or young animals should not be kept on any sand product as they are more sceptible to impaction problems. RepTerraTM sond reduces impaction problems which are common when reptiles are hoed on silica sand, wood shavings and other substrates.
