The product and LED lighting as a whole definitely fills a roll but I don't think it's quite the one that everyone was hoping for. First off let me say that the light is fantastically well made and is undoubtedly one of the better LED lighting systems available. The light emitted is intense enough that it doesn't cause etiolation if the plant is directly under the fixture; however the cone of light emitted is considerably narrower than that of an CFL or HPS set up and as a result I found the usable area underneath the LED fixture to be considerably less than any CFL or HPS of an equivalent wattage for any given height. However, that said the LED fixture gives off almost negligible heat and in an average sized room we're talking an ambient increase of perhaps 1 or 2 degrees Celsius above average. For propagation and cloning the light is more than enough and this is where I feel LED is the clear winner, a seedling isn't going to benefit from an increase in wattage anywhere near as much as a fruiting plant and with this in mind a 150w LED is a nice cheap option that will allow you to germinate/graft/clone year round. If you're after fruit, anything that's in a pot bigger than 9 - 11cm's and is firmly in the veg or flowering stage the light is simply not going to cut the mustard. The plants will become stressed and whilst you'll get fruit, the yields will be meager and growth will occur at a snails pace. Salad and herbs are no problem however and one of these babies (150w) set up right will provide you with a near endless supply, year round, for about 50p a day in costs.

Ok but not radically better
Bought two of these lights as an upgrade to 2 Roleadro 300w £89 I was already using. Had all four lights running over plants in the same area. Also used the Platimun light over my cuttings. The cuttings light produced very poor results. The cuttings all grew leggy, despite the light being lower than recommended, and I wouldn't use it again for that purpose. The comparison between the different led units used in the same area was interesting. The platinum lit plants grew leggier and less bushy or sturdy, but the flowers and fruits were slightly larger and more advanced. The Roleadro lit plants were denser/bushier and the flowers and fruits slightly slower to develope and were initially slightly smaller, but given an extra week of lighting caught up and again were slightly denser/heavier.The platinum build quality is very good, however the power cables on both mine knock out easily and appear to be slightly loose when connected. I don't have a problem with the noise.I have just bought some more Roleadro 300w units, as on balance they suit me better. I may buy another Platinum and do a proper, separate comparison between the two makes if I have the spare cash in future. Unfortunately the price difference (£89 v £169) is a major factor given no major improvement in flower/fruit quality or quantity using the more expensive units. Both makes used very similar amounts of electricity.

Not half as bright as the claims-for near double the money
The claims it can replace a 250 HPS can not be true if it can not even replace 200w of 6500k CFL's. I think it is at best half that.My 'plant's were in the latter veg stage and I took out 200w of 6500k CFL's and put this on with both veg & bloom switches on. The plants stretched from 7-9 inches tall in 2 days. Prior to that the nodes were tighter. Plants only stretch when flowering OR in veg if the light intensity is not enough they stretch to try and break through the canopy and get their proper share of sunlight. I quickly took this light back out and went back to my old lights.I am/was growing 4 plants in a 2'x2' tent. If I was to win or be given the P150 for free I'd use it in a 2'x1' space then I think I could grow 2 healthy plants with it (each plant topped twice). The only way I can see this light growing on the coverage they say is for less intensive things like lettuce and spinach.Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I thought you should know. I too wanted to pay out more to get more but I didn't and hence sent it back.My galaxyhydro 300 has too much red lights to blue to veg properly with it-without the seedlings getting a bit bleached or the high ratio of red to blue LED's causing some stretch in veg, but it is flowering pretty well and it is in the same 2'x2' tent. It could do with been a bit more powerful(134w = 33.5w sq ft) but its getting the job done well enough.I think the next light I buy will be one of the Marshydros with a veg switch and use it in another 2'x2' tent only aim for 45watts sq ft so 180 true watts in total. If you are the type of grower who likes about 65 watts a square foot in HPS then unless your buying the absolute creme de la creme of LED lights that cost a fortune but are made with more powerful LED makes you need about 45 watts a sq ft for this part of the market.Or so all my hours and days of forum reading has taught me!

Fantastic build quality
Fantastic build quality. As soon as I opened the package, I knew I didn't make mistake, let alone plugging it in. I bought recently Galaxy hydro 300w unit for supplemental lightning, but the p150 seems to be much brighter drawing about half the wattage, so I'm committed to these lights and hopefully will replace my current 400w hps light soon with mor of these. Again, superb quality and the heat sink is full length of the board and 3cooling fans ( which I was a bit sceptical about, after my Chinese product mentioned above that is super noisy) running so quiet, I can barely hear it. The unit stays cold actually, while running 12 h. I think these lights are assembled in China, but diodes and design are American. Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I think I read it in my research I did before I bought this. Nothing wrong with that. Mind when you first plug the cable into the unit, it goes all the way thru and stays well connected, just need bit extra push. Thanks for reading, I wish I could benefit from such a good review, but product like this deserves it, or a company...
