This fibre optic lamp is of good quality. The optic fibres are soft for baby hands and faces so they're not sharp and prickly. Considering the rough baby handling, only one or two fibres have come off ...so far. The colour changes are awesome if somewhat distracted by the colour changing base. My grandchild loves it and I would recommend this item. It's worth the little extra money for a product that lasts.

This is a lovely effect but have found a few loose strand fall out. So nice to look at but not to touch incase of strands falling out.

The media could not be loaded. Arrived very well packed, comes inside a plastic container, in a cardboard box which was in another box so no risk of damage in transit. It takes 3 AAA batteries which you will need a little screwdriver for to open the battery case, easily done in minutes, there is a button underneath the base so you can turn it on and off as you want.As soon as you take it out of the box the spray of optics is lovey, lot's there and seem's really full in comparison to cheaper versions you. The crystal base is a lovely touch which shines the colour upwards.The colours rotate between blue, red, yellow and green and this is done gradually which is a lovely touch so you almost get a mix of green and yellow together, before the next change.There was no noise from it at all just a gentle change of colour. The base changes colour in the same rotation as the optics. I brought this for my nephew who needs sensory play and this is ideal, there is nothing that can cause harm, the battery case is screwed in place and the optics seem firm and stand up to playing with them. I will take a video of this in the dark and add it to the review so you can see it. Very pleased.

Really nice product. Colours are lovely and very soothing for sensory seekers. However, it's very expensive and the pieces fall out very easily

Great product looks good great sensory present

I am not happy with this product as it does not operate with batteries. Despite having a battery slot for 3 x AAA batteries and a battery cover stating that it takes batteries, the box advertised it as usb powered. This is not ideal when I bought it for inside my son's sensory tent. My other son bought one from b and m for 4 pounds which is much better, so I'm not happy with the price of this. I feel I should be entitled to a full refund as it is false advertising!

Decently made product and well packaged. The problem is the fibre optic strands don't spread out.There just isn't enough strands to make anywhere near the spread in the photo. Measuring across the top it's 5 inches. I had one many years ago and it made almost a complete ball shape. If you place this above eye height, you cannot see the tops of the fibres or the effect. It's ok if placed on a low down table.
