Quick and easy reference
I wish I had found this a lot earlier. I use it for my coloured pencil drawings to find compatible colour palettes but will also find it invaluable as a decorating tool. Well worth the money in my opinion.

Compact and easy to use.
Recommended by "Just Get It Done Quilts" provides clear explanations and has extended my knowledge of colour theory. Great for identifying true colour group of fabrics.

Most useful tool
This was bought as a replacement for an earlier version of this tool which was beginning to fall apart. I use it all the time as a guide for deciding on colour schemes in my designs and then as a means of checking that the fabrics are in fact the colour I want them to be. couldn't be without it.

Indispensible
I do a lot of photo manipulation and editing and this tool is now invaluable to me. I print on fabric and sometimes want to match up colours with existing items I have. Now I can pick a colour or set of colours and use them directly in my software. What did I do without this before??

No good for web designers
I am a web designer and thought this would be the perfect tool for me to have clients select colours they like, then I would use the hex number to convert them to on-screen colours. How wrong I was. The colour my client chose looked rich and vibrant in print, but a pale washed out colour on screen. I can't possibly use the colour she chose based on these swaches.I have no idea how the author can make such claims that 'hex numbers for web design now improved'. Now that I have looked at colour theory in more detail, I find it is not possible to compare printed colours with screen colours on a back-light monitor. There is a whole heap of science to explain it. My problem is that it specifically states that it is good for web designers, but clearly it is not. Rant over. For your money, what do you get? Well, actually it is a good package. The first 12 pages explain colour theory and an introduction to working with the colour wheel quite well. Each colour swatch has a lovely range and on the back of each is an excellent colour wheel explaining how to pick colours to go with the one you have chosen. There is no need to stick with complementary colours when the swatch shows you how to pick the more interesting split-complimentary or analogous range. The swatch card feels good enough quality to be long lasting, but I would recommend to keep it in its supplied plastic pouch to prevent them from getting dog-eared. I have no doubt this pack will be of good value to many of the people who use colour in their work or hobby - except web designers, for which these serve no purpose.I swayed over 3 or 4 stars and eventually settled on 3 from a web design perspective. But, if you are NOT a web designer and are considering this, I rate it 4 stars and worth considering a purchase. If you are new to colour and the colour wheel then this is worthy of 5 stars for you and definitely a recommended purchase.
