If you've got youngish kids (6 - 9years old) and you haven't seen the "battery train" experiment, go and google it now... search for "worlds simplest electric train" and watch the video. Then come and order some of this stuff and some 10mm neodymium magnets so that you can do it yourself.Make sure you use this wire or something else that's now coated with a lacquer (like copper-coloured florists wire) as you need to be able to complete the electric circuit.Great stuff!
