Most Excellent insulation!
I love the insulation of these beauties! the insulation makes for a much deeper and clearer sound. Comfort-wise, these are fine for a couple of hours or more but you do begin to feel them on your ears eventually! I couldn't recommend these highly enough! These are so good that I will be making another purchase of the focal Listen over ear headphones but in a different colour.

Warm, smooth, detailed, superb noise isolation
One of the most unique headphones I've ever owned. They have a stunningly detailed sound and wide soundstage, but also a warm and silky sound signature with just the right amount of bass. I find them extremely comfortable, great earpads. Sound isolation is possibly the best I've come across, far surpassing other closed headphones I've owned (Sennheiser HD25, Audio Technica M50x etc). I don't like the cable but third party replacements can be used as long as you get one with a slim enough 3.5mm mini jack connector. Recommended.

Need to stretch the headband before use
The headband was too tight. I stretched the headband to its maximum aperture and left it open overnight using a large book. Success !I now have a comfortable pair of good quality headphones.

It's okay but nothing special
They're okay but nothing special.I found them uncomfortable to wear and therefore irritating even for short periods as the headband rubber is hard on the head and the clamping force is high.The earpads are borderline on-ear/over-ear and I found that they squash the ears.The sound is very average to me with decent mids but nothing special, bass and treble are rolled off and non distinct.Overall, I found that they lacked the dynamics, excitement, energy, attack and transparency in the music that I had hoped for.I find it hard to say that much positive about these headphones but they appear to be built well with a very strong headband that is unlikely to break even though I gave it plenty of stick trying to reduce clamping pressure.I paired them with a Chord Mojo as well as my Hidizs AP100 DAP and Fiio A5 and Fiio A12A Amps - in all possible combinations.Overall, I find it hard to recommend these headphones and I don't understand some of the high praise that they get, I found them a forgettable experience at best.

let down by the headband
Sound is great, they're sturdily built, but sadly they are very uncomfortable as the head band is quite hard.
