Rug Control Spray RCS 1 Rug Anti-Slip Spray

This stuff is amazing. We have a large rug made of carpet sitting on top of the carpet inside our front door at the bottom of the stairs. With us walking over it every time we come down the stairs, the rug was always creeping towards the door, which would then get stuck and you'd have to pull it back before you could open or close the door. Not ideal when you've just come in from work, and can't get the door open more than 3 inches, and the burglar alarm is counting down it's 20 seconds til the bells go off, and the cats have escaped outside into the busy road...Anyway in desperation we tried this stuff. We did three coats as it was a hessian backed carpet (this is recommended on the bottle). The first we let dry in the garage, on top of newspaper, for 2 hrs, the 2nd and 3rd overnight. DO NOT SPRAY THIS IN THE HOUSE! It STINKS! Of the worst farmyard / slurry type of smell. But don't worry, the smell is completely gone once the stuff is dry.Anyway once the coats are done, the back of the carpet has a tacky sticky feeling; but there's no residue left on your fingers when you touch it. Once you've walked around on it a bit it's stuck fast to whatevers underneath. Obviously you can peel it back up again from above quite easily, but you can't pull it along the floor.Our rug crept to the door once a day and more often at the weekends when we're going in and out. It's been down for 3 days now and has not moved a jot. Even the most enthusiastic jumping off the stairs onto it, does not shift it. It is a miracle and amazing how such a simple product doing such a simple job has made our life that bit less annoying!!! Yes it is expensive, but I promise, IT WORKS.

I was recommended to use Cybergold Anti-Slip Creep Rug Spray and although I originally thought is was a bit expensive, I decided to give it a try as it was recommended by a trusted friend and all I can say is thank goodness I did buy it. It is well worth the money. It has stuck my constantly moving front door mat which used to get wedged behind the door which meant you couldn't get in the front door at times. I also have a mat on a shiny wooden floor which I had decided to throw away as we keep sliding on it and we knew it was only a matter of time before somebody broke their ankle or leg or worse as we used to go mat sliding on it, but I decided to keep it and give it a go with Cybergold and it hasn't budged an inch, not even with a wheelchair going over it.It is brilliant stuff so don't be put off by the price. I have spent far more money than this over the years on various useless rug grippers etc. which never work and this stuff really does work. I am so impressed I am going to do all my rugs and mats and have told so many people about it already. Delivery was excellent too.Thank you Cybergold for making my home a whole lot safer.

Products works really well on a rug (120 x 180cm) with a hardwood floor. The only issue is that the spray arrived in a jiffy-bag with bubblewrap around the trigger in an effort to stop it being depressed during transit. However, this was not sufficient and there was a considerable amount of leakage, which, considering it's a tacky liquid, isn't pleasant.If it was packaged correctly then would happily give it 5 stars.

I had a rubber backed rug that sat on my carpet. I'm sure that anyone who called at my front door thought I had some strange ritual as I would always open the door whilst trying to put the mat rug back into place.We then had new carpets installed and the rug moved WAY more than it used to so I decided to take action!!Having read he reviews I decided to buy this product. It arrived then I read that you can't use it on new carpets for 6 months to allow the pile to settle. Well I obviously ignored that!!I sprayed it in the shed on newspaper (don't forget that bit otherwise the floor is mega sticky!). As it has a rubber back the spray just pooled into puddles on the back of the rug and I honestly thought I'd ruined it, so just shut he shed door and walked away. Came back a few hours later and it sort of looked a bit better but I still thought it was ruined. Sprayed it again as per the instructions then left over night. Well it wasn't dry in the morning but was looking a bit better. Spread the puddles around with my fingers and left it again for over 24 hours.Finally the white puddles had vanished although the back still felt tacky - I'm assuming this was how it was supposed to be.We put it down and since then (about 4 weeks) we've only had to adjust the rug once or twice. As there is a lot of carpet pile attached to the back from the new carpet, I expect we'll have to redo it again but there's enough left to do it again.So in summary - scary to put on (persevere with rubber backing!) but fantastic in action!!!!UPDATE 3 MONTHS LATERWell the rug hasn't moved an inch!!!! I'm still amazed every time I look at it - yes I know that's incredibly sad, but if you've ever struggled with a wandering rug you'll understand!!!

The product worked as described but the spray applicator was pretty useless. I had to decant the solution into another spray in order to apply it evenly on the reverse of my carpet 'runner'. Nevertheless, I will be buying a further spray to treat another carpet (it doesn't go very far) as once applied, it is very effective in stopping one carpet 'creeping' over another with constant traffic.

Le pulvérisateur ne projette pas une brume uniforme, il projette des très grosses gouttes et en plus il en projette tout autour et pas seulement vers l'avant. Impossible de recouvrir toute la surface du tapis de façon homogène et beaucoup de produit est gaspillé car projeté autour de la zone à traiter.

Tut genau was es soll ...Anleitung auf englisch war für uns kein Problem, auch das Auftragen auf die Teppichunterseiten gestaltet sich einfach. Man sollte das allerdings draussen machen und auf jeden Fall etwas unterlegen um Verschmutzungen an der Umgebung zu vermeiden.Bei empfindlichen Böden (Laminat, Parkett) würde ich das Spray nicht verwenden da auch nach langem Trocknen noch kleine Rückstände von der Teppichunterseite auf dem Boden haften bleiben.Bei uns liegen die Teppiche im Bad auf Fliessen und sie liegen bombenfest! Nichts verrutscht und auch beim Staubsaugen bleiben die Teppiche liegen wie angewachsen. Die Rückstände auf den Fliessen lassen sich problemlos mit normalem Putzen entfernen.

Nachdem meine Badteppiche nicht mehr so gut hafteten und zur Unfallquelle zu drohen begannen, wollte ich mir schon neue kaufen. Da bin ich durch Zufall auf das Produkt gestoßen. Ich dachte mir, naja, kannst du ja mal probieren, ob es wirklich funktioniert.Versand war zügig und ordentlich. Habe das Spray auf der Unterseite meiner Teppiche angebracht.Fazit: seit einem Monaten halten die wirklich auf dem Boden und sind auch schwer zu entfernen, wenn man darunter wischen möchte.Ein ganz tolles Zeug. Würde es auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen und erneut kaufen.

...muss nach jedem Waschen neu aufgebracht werden. Sehr lästig, da Trockenzeit mind. 2 Stunden und auf Dauer auch ziemich teuer.

Habe im Bad 2 IKEA Teppiche. Leider sind sie nach einem Jahr Verwendung nur noch durch die Gegend gerutscht.Das Spray habe ich bei ersten Versuch erst mal dünner aufgetragen als beschrieben. Aber schon diese dünne Schicht hat ausgereicht, das nichts mehr verrutscht. Einfach perfekt!Denke mal, der Inhalt reicht locker für 6-8 Anwendungen und macht sich damit schnell bezahlt, selbst wenn man es alle halbe Jahr nachsprühen muss.Tipp: Gummihandschuhe anziehen und im Freien sprühen, es klebt einem glatt die Finger zusammen.
