Before I even received my iPhone 7 Plus (black), I bought a range of cases to review and help you find the best iPhone 7 Plus cover for your own needs and preferences. I'd like to share with you here my views on the i-Blason ‘Transformer’ case.First, allow me to give you a bit of context: when choosing a case for my smartphones, I'm always looking for the best combination of design/style, protection, comfort and value for money. As far as I am concerned, additional features like a built-in stand are just 'nice to have'.I am personally a huge fan of thin-ish covers which offer a satisfying level of protection (including the screen as I dislike screen protectors) without impacting the design of the phone too much, and ideally improve the customer experience (for instance by improving the grip). All the buttons, connectors and the camera (including the flash) should work as well as without the case.Now you will find below my unbiased views on the i-BLASON ‘Transformer’ case.Please note that it comes in two pieces: a rigid plastic cover/sleeve with a foldable stand and a hard plastic back cover clip with a locking belt swivel clip.And because a picture is worth a thousand word, I invite you to go through my comprehensive photo coverage.===sleeve without the back cover===I LIKED+ improved grip thanks to textured plastic+ excellent level of protection (including corner bumpers, all buttons and raised lip on the front)+ textured power button+ button covers feel good to push and responsive+ ok access to the mute switch+ precise cut outs (speaker grills, camera and flash)+ flash works well with the case+ easy to fit in and remove your iPhone 7 Plus+ sturdy, built-in stand can come handy as it provides a good viewing angleI WISHED- less additional bulk and weight: there are better, slicker options on the market- the built-in stand was easier to unfold (I couldn’t do it with my nails)===sleeve with the locking belt swivel clip===I LIKED+ easy both to fit it in and remove+ sleeve stays in place+ the clip applies a good amount of forceI WISHED- the clip could only be used in the vertical/portrait position- you have to carry the clip when not using it: I wouldn’t call anyone or surf the web with that thing attached on the back of my beloved iPhoneCONCLUSIONThis well-built, rigid plastic case from i-Blason offers an excellent level of protection to your iPhone. It’s still a big, heavy case compared to most, especially with the clip part on.If the case brings some innovation to the table with their built-in stand and the belt swivel clip, I can see two major challenges impacting the customer experience: on my unit, it was close to impossible to unfold the built-in stand with my fingers. Moreover, you always have to carry the additional clip with you.As a consequence, I believe the name ‘Transformer’ is misleading considering that you have to carry two plastic covers with you. The price of this case is reasonable though at about £9.99.-I hope you will find my review and my photo coverage helpful-

I got this for my boyfriend for Christmas because he swears by this case! He had it for his old one and couldn’t bare having a different case for his new one :)

I Love this case. I drop my phone far too often and so far it has saved it from any damage. Nice reinforced corners and comes away from front of phone enough to stop damage on the screen. I've seen reviews of the stand not working for some people. Mine is a little stiffer than I've had on other cases but I am able to do it with my thumb and not having to use an instrument to pull out.

Good case

A tough case for the iPhone 7 plus but with a couple of negative design flaws. Firstly the kickstand is very hard to pop out, forcing the user to remove the phone from the case, pop out the kickstand and then place the phone back in the rubber case. Secondly the clip does not swivel, making it rest awkwardly on a belt or bag strap. Thirdly, the clip on action for the phone is not very smooth, and caused me to drop the phone (testing the case and build of the iPhone 7 plus). I now make sure to first place the phone in the clip on case and then attach it to a belt or strap.

Very impressed with the case. The quality is excellent & no sign of cheap plastic. The thick rubber corners on the case really help minimise impact if you drop your phone, whilst the design also overlaps the screen by a few millimetres which helps protect it if it lands face down.

Initially when I opened the case I didn't think much of it but now I can't live without it.The stand at the back of the phone is great for when you are at your desk or even on my side table in bed.Really good case and very sturdy... people keep asking where I got it.

Does what it says. Good protection for phone. Stand is good as works in portrait and landscape mode. Good value too.
