Little Miss Christmas (Mr. Men & Little Miss Celebrations)

My 4 and 7 year olds got these for Christmas. They are based on the characters of the Mr. Men and Little Miss childrens books that I had as a child and that my kids enjoy now. They loved the coloring, puzzles, mazes and the Mr. Men stickers.

love these books -my kids read them and now I am buying them for my grand kids and they love them. Arrive on time and in perfect condition.

I loved the original Mr. Men and Little Miss books as a child and still do today. The stories are wholesome and well-written. This book, however, is neither. It is important to note that Little Miss Christmas is the work of ADAM Hargreaves, the son of the original author! Using his father's name on the cover is merely clever marketing (it clearly says on the first page that this book is the work of Adam, not Roger).*Spoiler alert*What I dislike most are the messages it sends kids: Little Miss Christmas dislikes her work so much she leaves shortly before Christmas, Father Christmas is lazy and almost ruins Christmas with his procrastination. The plot would be okay if only there were some moral to the story, but there isn't.Then there's the (pointless) magic teapot, in which Mr Christmas flies from the South Pole, where he lives. Neither the teapot nor Mr Christmas add anything to the storyline.

I ordered this for my little brother because he loved Mr. Christmas. I was unsure if this book would be suitable for a boy, but it is definitely suited to both genders. He loves the sparkles and has me read it to him every night!

The Mr Men/Little Miss collection is very good for little, adventurous minds. The messages are great too. Very colourful and they make reading fun.
