It took a few months for me to realize the excellence of this machine
I wasn't necessarily impressed with the materials used in the manufacture of this machine and its accessories. All the above simply felt "cheap" to me as similar feeling gear in my past would inevitably fail or fall apart. After several months of active use of this vacuum cleaner it is now clear to me my suspicions were incorrect. Yes, everything is extraordinarily light weight (especially the brush head unit). But where I once thought that would have indicated a compromise in durability and performance, this is simply not the case (so far).I'm especially pleased with the ease of removing debris from the catch basin once it fills up. It's extraordinarily easy enough to remove it from the main unit. It's light enough to lift it above a kitchen trash can. And the latch mechanism opening the basin container for the purpose of emptying it into a trash can functions well with minimal (if any) mess. The suction and other controls of this machine are also highest quality in my humble opinion. And oh yeah, I'm also impressed with the lower-level noise this thing makes during operation in comparison to ALL other machines I've owned in the past.As opposed to other larger machines that offer on-board storage of the various cleaning heads one my use (such as the brush head, etc.), this unit does not. Nonetheless, I consider this a plus in how the lack of on-board storage helps minimize the overall size and weight of the entire machine.Yes, this brand charges a bit more than its competitors. However, I now completely understand why and consider the additional cost worthwhile. Of course, if it breaks down I'll certainly report.Worth the cost of admission.

German Engineering - What else can I say?
The Miele Boost CX1 PowerLine SNRF0 Bagless Canister Vacuum Cleaner is the most expertly engineered appliance I have ever owned. Everything is thought through, brilliantly engineered, expertly delivered, with instructions an illiterate person could follow. The bagless canister works flawlessly and the space saved seems to be devoted to the motor. It is uncannily quiet, even on the highest setting, considering how powerful it is. Everything is just where you would want it to be on this machine. There is even a special notch to hold the head and hose off the ground when you are storing it - who else would have thought of that but Miele? There are clear, language-independent symbols for everything. The vacuum is surprisingly light, and its big, integrated wheels move smoothly and turn easily. You could easily carry it from room to room with its large, comfortable carrying handle, it you wanted to. The attachments are right where you need them, at the top of the hose nearest you. As some reviewers have noted, this amazing appliance wants to be cleaned every so often, maybe monthly. It's not that it won't continue to work great, because when our former housekeeper used it she never cleaned it. Now that I am semi-retired and do the vacuuming, it's just so easy to take apart, rinse off, and put back together that I just find myself saying, "Why not keep is sparkling?"

!!!DON’T BUY THIS VACUUM!!!!
This vacuum is the worst! The suction is terrible! I had such high hopes and really gave it a go but it was a huge waste of money!! I thought it was just the attachment and tried several different ones but still no luck! The only nice things about it are that tit is quiet and can clean under the couches… but even that doesn’t work he cause there isn’t any suction!! Save yourself the time, money, and energy!! You could try a different Miele vacuum because I hear good things about them but venture at your own risk!! DO NOT BUY!!

Only for Vacuum Aficionados
Okay...so I'm one of those: a vacuum aficionado! Love to take my time and perform a chore that presents instant gratification and that everyone appreciates. I've been down all roads...from Sebo to Kenmore to Electrolux and even to the bagged Miele. Many pals of mine have all the less expensive models and they never mention them and, frankly, I don't blame them.I took a chance recently and ordered the CX1 Parquet, along with the TurboTeQ brush. Had never been interested in a bagless canister but thought Miele might have pulled it off with the CX1. Here are my thoughts: the suction is second to none...am blown away; the design is pretty cool; the ease when emptying the bin is wonderful...just be gentle as dust rises when debris hits the trash can; cleaning the bagless compartment is very easy and putting it all back together is a cinch; again, the suction is a.m.a.z.i.n.g; and, my only complaint, the ease at which the canister moves behind you is not very well dialed in...Miele could do better. The reason why I stated that this is a vacuum for aficionados is that you must be committed to cleaning the bagless compartment thoroughly every three or so uses. And I mean, CLEANING...emptying and rinsing and drying. For me, this works well, as I believe in taking care of things that take care of me. I actually enjoy the process. On the other hand, if you are the person who doesn't have the time or desire to clean something that cleans for you, then go straight for a bagged Miele. In the end, I've never been more happy with a vacuum. Hope this insight helps...just remember that the CX1 wants to enjoy a symbiotic relationship with you! ~R
