Pain-in-the-neck saucer design (!) but otherwise nice pots.
I purchased a pair of these in matte black for my front steps. What I Like:At $7.59 each, they were a good value. They look great. The matte black does not look like plastic. I don’t have to worry about bringing them in during winter, because they wont freeze and break like my old ceramic pots will. And when I drop these they won’t break, like just happened with one of my ceramic pots. There are two things I don’t like: The way the saucer attaches to the pot, and dirty fingerprints. The way the saucer and pot fit together is a pain in the neck. I read all the reviews and nothing (or any of those recommendations) works well. The bottom of the pots have 6 drainage holes (good). The saucer has 3 raised tabs (that look like about 1” of the end of a #2 pencil) that stick up into the pot to keep the saucer attached to the pot. The first problem is that with the saucer attached the way it arrives, the saucer is so snug against the pot, that the water won’t drain through those holes. You can easily pull the saucer off the pot. However, you can’t then position the saucer “just right” so that there is room for the water to drain through those holes. Some reviewers said that you could press the saucer tabs into the pot holes just a little way, in order to keep some distance between the pot and the saucer for drainage. They said that there are little rings or grooves on the tabs, so that you can choose the amount of space for drainage. Not true with my pot/saucer. There are no little rings or grooves on those tabs. Once I stick the tabs up (even a tiny amount) into the drainage hole, the weight of the pot filled with soil and the plant presses the pot down onto the saucer and the tabs go up through the drainage hole, and then we are right back to where there is not enough space for the water to drain through. Some reviewers said that you should position the pot so that it sits ON TOP of those saucer tabs and they don’t go into the drainage holes at all. However, I found that to be very awkward to position the pot like that. It seems pretty “teetery” resting on top of those 3 tabs. And then if I knock it just a bit, one of the tabs slips into a drainage hole and then the pot does not sit evenly on the saucer. This was a pain in the neck. I finally just got them looking like they were sitting on the saucers sort of level, and left them alone. I realize this is a lot of words about the stupid drainage holes and saucer. The second thing I didn’t like was that when I finished planting my plant into the pot and I lifted it to put it in place on my porch (and with all the fiddling with the stupid saucer), the matte black picked up all the soil off my hands and the pots were full of my hand prints. It’s a small thing. I just got a wet paper towel and wiped all that off. I figure I won’t be carrying these around now that the plants are in them, so no big deal. But the matte finish really does pick up the dirt.Overall, these are small things, and I like the pots a lot. They are a good value and they look very nice. I do recommend them. Just be warned about the stupid design of the saucers. If my review was helpful, please let Amazon know by clicking “helpful”. Thanks.

Cute little pot, pay attention to the measurements and the saucer
I got the 5 inch pot in black. The pot measurement is based on the fact that it is a tapered pot; it's 5 inches in diameter at the rim, but about 3.5 inches in diameter across the very bottom. It's about 4.5 inches tall. I knew all of this before I purchased based on reading other reviews, so I am happy with the size--but if you really need to fit a certain amount of soil, recommend getting the next size up.This pot DOES have six holes at the bottom. Three of the holes are where the saucer pegs snap in. The other three holes are for drainage. I did not fully remove the saucer; I very gently pulled it a little and pushed against the pegs from the inside just so the saucer wasn't so flush against the pot. Another review mentioned that the pegs have ridges.. I don't know about that, but it is possible to pull the saucer away enough to allow for drainage without pulling it all the way off. I think pulling it all the way off would be precarious. You also don't need to switch the holes or anything. I tested this by putting a little bit of water in the pot; it drains into the saucer just fine.

Good value planter
This is a pretty nice planter for the price. 4 stars in overall and sturdiness because it arrived with dents that are visible and discolored. Not returning as the plant’s leaves cover damage.

Not perfect but a good pot.
Gone are the days in which stores carry a wide variety of the standard sturdy plant pots. This pot is suitable for its use. I think it's a little pricey for a plastic pot but it looks nice and does the job. When full of watered soil and a plant, it gives a little when picking it up and creates a slight oval shape. But squeezing it on the opposite side puts it back into it's round shape. Dirt doesn't wash off it well, it's a clingy type of plastic. But, since plain ol' plastic pots (without the watering spout sticking out the side) are hard to find, this pot works well.

Size of 5 inch pot
Decent pot . Flexible plastic. Five inch pot no taller than a can of pop. Good for small starter plants .

Great plant pots!
I purchased 2 of the 10 inch Bloem Saturn Plantars. They are just as I expected. They look just like they do in the picture. The plastic is hard and sturdy and the color is uniform. I also purchased 2 of the Fiskar Ariana Plantars in a larger size 12 inch because they were not available in the Bloem Saturn and I have to say that I was disappointed. So if you can buy this plantar. You won't be disappointed.
