A must have
Excellent tool, had a few of these over the years, only eer rhad to replace due to "misplacing",or me breaking them really can't work without one, can test parts on or off a vehicle, in fact, can test pretty much anything electrical, from bulbs to motors, can find shorts, can bypass switches, can tell you if it's negative or positive, can be used as a ground, or a power input. You can hook it up to a car battery and test components on a dead vehicle or sat on a bench. has overload protection so you can't damage it or the component with a wrong voltage.

Excellent tool and quick delivery
Ordered on Thursday and delivered on Saturday with free delivery from Cooks at the best online price. Tested it straight away and works fine. Very simple to use, just clips onto the battery and away you go. Worth making an adapter so you can power it off the cars internal power supply for working inside the car as well as via the clips provided in case the internal power supply is on the defective circuit or for working in the engine bay.

Fantastic tool
This is the second power prob I have purchased due to foolishness losing the last on. Fantastic tool and makes very light work of locating live, single and earth feeds. The build quality is spot on with it being much cheaper then the snap on version. Word of warning to and novice users, ensure you have a basic understanding of motor vehicle electrics before using this!

Good product on the most part
As seems to be the case with many products nowadays this is "almost" perfect, but fell short due to a lack of insightThe audible buzzer and twin LED lights make this much better than pretty much all of its rivals, the one thing that lets it down albeit shared with almost every other power probe on the market is you HAVE to attach it to the battery by virtue of it terminating in two rather huge clipsAs people will quite commonly be using these type of probes under the dashboard and inside the cab of the car then a lead terminated in a cigar lighter plug with an additional short lead with a cigar lighter socket and the two clips that are on the probe as standard would be SOOOOO much better giving the option to use the probe inside then car without the need for trailing wires into the engine bayAlso using such an unusual threaded probe insert is surely done deliberately to tie the customer to having to buy their add-ons, when the standard banana plug type socket as seen on standard test meters and the draper probe style auto multimeter would make more sense, offer the ability to use a wider (and more reasonably priced) range of tips, and for fashioning ones ownSomeone with a soldering iron and a bit of time could fashion the cigar lighter attachment themselves, but with the probe tip end youre a bit more limited unless you spend almost as much as the meter cost simply to get some leads to cannibalise as for some work additions like oscilloscope type clips, a wire piercer or a blade, a bulb type end or a collection of crimp type endings can be extremely usefulDont let that put you off though, as I said as far as I can see most, if not all power probes suffer from the same design flaws (or deliberately designed money spinners). So with that in mind it is still probably the best probe on the marker and CAN be made better with a bit of time, a soldering iron and some imagination

A real time saver
I'm on my third or fourth one of these now, they don't last forever but I always buy another.Fortunately the prices have fallen over time making them very affordable now.Once you clip it onto the battery away you go testing any unknown point to see if it's positive or negative or neither.Want to make somewhere positive or negative? just flick the rocker switch up or down as desired.Want to test or run a device in situ or off the vehicle _it can do that too!Want to know if a wire is positive or negative or neither, get a dolphin clip or pin and it can do that too.Time is money,if you have a bit of basic faultfinding insight this will save you a lot of time. The only bad thing is that they wear out eventually.I use mine a lot so I don't know if it's the damp that does for them or just wear and tear on the rocker switch, wish they made them better and charged a bit more but I suppose at the price I don't mind buying another. When I have an electrical fault this is the first tool I look for.I suppose it's a pain having a lead trail behind you but it wouldn't be do all the great things without it_I have numerous non leaded testers and they never see the light of day since I got the first one of these.

Easy to use
Great product well built for the price. I am making a cafe racer motorbike and had a problem with the wiring loom. Used it to diagnose ground issues and found continuity issues. Only small criticism did not come with instructions. Still managed to work it out once up and running was invaluable.
