Asus VE198S 19 Inch Widescreen LED Multimedia Monitor (1440x900, 5ms, VGA, VESA 100mm x 100mm)

This is my first external monitor and I was not disappointed. No VGA on my 13" MacBook Pro (2011) so had to buy an additional cheap VGA to Thunderbolt adapter. Only thing missing on display was a contrast control. Need to go into Mac Preferences to set external monitor, otherwise it's plug and play. 13" to 19" a huge revelation: should have bought one earlier. Only disappointment: any vibrations to its base, such as caused by a wonky table, are transmitted to the whole screen -- mounting could be a little more solid. The monitor's built-in speakers seem to override my MacBook ones and are just adequate. Still going after 3 years+ but resolution well behind current monitors now!

Excellent monitor, the display is crisp and clear, colours are great. The only negative is that the volume is a bit low, but that is no major problem.

Strong monitor which is not overwhelming in size. This monitor has lots of variable settings; colours are vibrant and appear true.

Gets 4 1/2 points of 5. Resolution and colours are billiant. Although its advertised as 19" , its smaller than our old 19" screen.Our old One was more oblongata which seemed larger

Happy with purchase

I bought this monitor as it matches the aspect ratio of my Sony Vaio. Easy to set up and plenty of options for customising the colour, brightness etc...Good volume from the speakers, far better than the Sony puts out.Overall I'm very impressed especially considering the low price.

Excellent product plug and play. Do note that it only has a VGA interface no HDMI. Not a great problem providing your pc has VGA

Installation was as simple as, unplug old and plug in new ! Very pleased with the sharp crisp quality.
