PME Dowel Rods, Pack of 12

I use these for my tiered cakes and they are perfect. Great strength and easy to cut to size needed.

These are great for supporting the tiers on large cakes. They are very strong yet easy to cut to size. Great item.

Bought these for securing cake decorations into a cake, bit too thick! Great paint stirrers though!

These are intended for holding apart the tiers of fancy cakes, but I just wanted some handy sized dowels for general use.Though these are bamboo, they are not like the garden canes, as they do not have the hard, shiny exterior, and are solid cored, and there are no joints, so they are fairly even, though not perfectly round as a manufactured dowel rod would be.As you can see from the picture, I drilled the ends of my sticks, to make a sort of construction kit, that I used to make an indoor 'greenhouse' to protect a plant from draughts. The framework in the picture is from one complete pack of dowels.

These dowels are great for cake decorating and I would recommend and buy again.

It does the job but its very difficult to cut.

These rods were great for keeping my cake together. They are very sturdy needs a little bit strength to cut but really that's what you want. Will be getting them again.
