Would quite happily recommend.
Quite a few reviews refer to issues connecting to Audio Bluetooth devices when using Win7 and therefore, I thought it would be helpful to pass on the process I used which appears to have worked perfectly for me.I have an Acer Laptop running the Home Premium version of Win7 SP1 64bit. My wife bought me a Bose Soundlink III for Christmas hence why I needed to buy this dongle.Installation:Do not insert the dongle until you have installed the drivers. Also, I chose not to use the supplied CD, instead I downloaded the latest version of their driver software from the Inateck website (you'll find the address to their site in the instruction booklet). It's approx. 250Mb. I simply saved this to my Desktop.Extract the contents of the downloaded .zip and again, I simply extracted the file to my Desktop.Open the extracted folder and run the 'Setup.exe'During the installation the software will advise that the dongle is not connected, at this point insert the dongle into a free USB port and the installation will continue. You may see notifications pop up from the notification tray, simply ignore these.Once the installation is finished restart your PC and that's it (or at least, it was in my case).Connection is stable through one wall or a ceiling (laptop downstairs and the speaker in the bedroom above for example) but it struggles through two walls of our old house, however, we do have very solid walls. I would say the 'reliable' range is more like 5m...Once you're happy that everything is working correctly, you can then delete both of the folders you saved to your desktop. All in all I'm very happy with the performance of this little device and would quite happily recommend it.

For Macs, it works, but it is NOT a plug and play device, would not recommend for casual Mac users.
I bought this product as the Bluetooth antenna in my Macbook Pro (mid-2012) was starting to fail. While it is not advertised, you can get this dongle working with a Mac. However, it is not a simple plug and play affair. In my case it required a lot of work, involving editing .plist files, downloading developer tools, and all sorts of trickery to get the Mac to use this Bluetooth dongle, as opposed to its internal Bluetooth antenna. So I would not recommend this for casual Mac users. However, if you do know your way around your Mac and confident enough to edit some system-level files, then this dongle is not a bad choice. You will have to Google around to find the instructions needed to set this up, but it works very well once it is all up and running.

Bluetooth 4.0 USB Adapter BTA-BC4B6
Delivered on time. Sold as requiring no additional drivers for Win7,8,8.1. Plugged in to Win8.1 PC and showed up as generic Bluetooth adapter in Device Manager. Would not connect to Bluetooth speaker. Removed Windows installed driver then used supplied disk to install Inateck driver. Windows installed own driver again and would not recognise Inateck driver even after doing driver update. Downloaded most current driver from Inateck website and again this was not recognised. Tried same procedure on Win7 PC with same result. This adapter did not work. Gave up and returned to Amazon for refund. May have been faulty since other customers appear to have a functioning unit, but not prepared to take chance.UPDATE.In order to resolve the above issues, Inateck offered a free replacement adapter which I have used for the past few days. This device has performed exactly as per the product description. Plugged into the Win 8.1 PC and software (driver etc.) was installed with no problems. Clicked on the Bluetooth icon and paired with the Bluetooth speaker. Sound quality is excellent. I can only assume the first adapter was faulty, and had it performed as this replacement does, I would have been very satisfied with the product. I also recognise that while Inateck Customer Relations had no requirement to provide a replacement, their action in so doing should be recognised.

Easy and reliable to use, but below standard range and reception
This came with drivers as promised, and installed very easily. The instructions were clear and it booted up, and connected with my bluetooth stereo instantly. It is easy and reliable to use.But it has terrible range, and any obstacle to the line-of-sight transmission completely ruins the signal. This is not as good as the previous Belkin models I've used, and I'm surprised and disappointed. If you've only got a setup with a very short and clear range it will be fine, but be aware.

Windows 10 and USB 3 ports nearby? Buy this and save yourself unnecessary pain.
I had previously bought the CSR Bluetooth USB dongle from Amazon and had absolutely no joy with it. I thought that the reason for their not working was probably interference from adjacent USB 3 ports, but buying a 2 meter long USB extender did not fix the problem, so maybe it wasn't that after all. It could have been Windows 10 compatibility issue, just maybe. Further research led me to believe that a Bluetooth dongle possessed of the Broadcom chipset may be worth trying... so the hunt was on.Once I unpacked it I didn't even need to install the drivers, just plug it in and set it up via Windows Control Panel. It just works, which is exactly what it should do, I can find no better words to describe it.

Average score replaced with 5 Stars.
Average score because awkward to set up correctly. Never did get it right, as it always wanted to be a network node, not just a file transfer utility, which is what I wanted it for.Take all this back, this little dongle works a treat when its set up correctly. Spent some time setting it up, as Inateck got in touch, very politely, asking why the three stars. Rather than brush them off (because I wanted it to work), I tried again, and if I avoided the 'Join a Private Network' it works well. Pretty fast, too, considering the size of the photos - Average 1000 Kb. Copied 20 files without intervention. Pleased now.

Works well when set up
My laptop does not have a built in Bluetooth facility so I purchased this dongle which plugs into a USB socket. I had great difficulty in establishing a process for switching on and pairing Bluetooth with my Bose Headphones for use with iTunes in Windows 10. Once set up it works well.
