Silverline Silverstorm Power File Belt Sander & 22 Sanding Belts Assorted 13x457mm 40 grit 60 grit 80 grit 120 grit

I bought this to help restore some old (about 50 years) teak chairs that belonged to a friend of mine. I had to sand the chairs to remove the grey wood but was unable to ret between the slats on the seat and backrest areas. Doing it manually was not on due to joint pain. So I looked on line for a way to do it with power tools and I found this one. Boy am I glad I did! It did the job perfectly, quickly and efficently and all at a reasonable price! How often does that happen these days? I really can recommend this tool for those awkard spots. Perfect tool for that job.

Very easy to use and layout of motor makes it better in confined spaces.It is also easy to hold and surprisingly light in weight. Having a smaller motor than some other power files may make it less suitable for rapid removal of material, for heavy duty work. However, I found it to be great for removing paint and oxidation from my motorcycle engine and capable of really delicate work. The motor did not get too warm during continuous use, although it got noticeably warmer when my grip on the body had inadvertently moved over the cooling vents!

This is well built and solid, great for getting into small awkward spaces. It can take a lot of material off so you have to be gentle with it! The belt can come off every now and them which is probably down to my cack-handedness! Would recommend.

Couldn't see the need to own a power file at all but it was recommended so thought why not will give it a try.How we managed before we bought it I have no idea.Its turned out to be so useful not only in doing what it was bought for but for doing loads of other things.Cant quite get enough access because of limited access the power file is perfect for the job.Only thing I am going to add is make sure you buy good quality abrasive belts.Some of the cheaper belts either snap or the abrasive literally falls off in no time.Get some quality abrasive belts for the power file and it is a invaluable tool you will end up using it a lot more than you expected.

Very impressed with delivery also the light weight makes it easy to use without too much pressure and “digging”in to the job.Equally impressive was the ease with which it managed the nooks and crannies and welded joints on the tubular frame for my motorcycle trike back axle/suspension cradle.The only niggle is I’ve ended up in hospital with a hip problem (not related to the tool) and I can’t wait to get back and finish the workThanks for good service and the perfect tool to do a perfect job.

Bought this to remove old paint from a garden fence. It worked well, was easy to use, and there were no problems changing the sander belt. Additional belts can be purchased online too, either the same make or generic ones, so there is no problem once the original supply of belts has been used. A good addition to home tool kit.

Early days but really pleased with this product so far - used it to grind down a range of materials really successfully. The dust extraction fitting does help to keep the dust down reasonably despite it being unreasonable to expect it a complete reduction in dust due to the nature of the function of the machine. All at a very keen price - I have been buying equipment from Makita and DeWalt lately because of disappointing performance of a number of budget power tools - however I have recently bought several Silverline products and so far I have not been disappointed. Ordered from Bamford Trading via Amazon on a Thurday afternoon and arrived on the Saturday morning - much earlier than expected because I had not selected next day delivery. Great product and Service.
