Thought it would be just the thing for fixing eyelets into a shower curtain. Tried many ways and all just useless. When trying to punch though the curtain it just would not make a clean hole , just ragged hole. Should imagine it would be ok on leather etc but not on thin material.

This item is partly blunt. The bit that makes the hole is blunt and does not go through the thinest material. unable to use. Seller expects me to pay for returns when the item is faulty

I needed something to form small rivets and this was just the right tool for the job and at a reasonable price

This product would benefit from a toughened steel punch and a deeper shaper groove, but other than that the product works but takes a couple of attempts to get it right, also it would help if you inserted a diagram of how to use it.

I wanted to hang tapestries all over the place and decided the best way was to create 5mm holes protected by metal grommets. This worked brilliantly for punching holes and fixing grommets. Once the grommets are in either corner you can use most 40mm screws (mine just squeeze through the 5mm grommet) to fix the Tapestry to the wall or ceiling!

Absolutely rubbish. The hole punch wasn't at all sharp and took a whole lot of force to work and the eyelet punch destroyed my eyelets, I abandoned it after 5 eyelets and just used a steel nail, which worked much better but my corset back is still ruined. Not impressed.

I used this with quality solid brass eyelets and it didn't set them cleanly and after about 5 uses the setter became jammed to the anvil and now is completely unusable. Postage costs meant it wasn't worth returning for a refund. Avoid this substandard offering and buy something decent from the likes of Dixon, Osborne or Priory instead.
