It's not snake oil, it works!
I don't know if it works in my car yet as I need to do more miles, but it unequivocally improves heating oil.Esse oil cooker was burning poorly, very sooty and I put it down to 12 month old oil.Cleaned out the cooker and removed the soot and relit the cooker, the flame was still yellow and sooty.Added 1 litre to approx 500l of oil, gave the tank a good stir with a broom handle and left it running overnight.Next morning perfect bright blue flame in the burner, cooker is running hotter using the same setting, so I have turned it down to get the same heat using less oil.I've had a peek in the flueways and they're very clean, little sign of soot accumulation.Very impressed....

Improves the burn of fuel
Interesting product this. I have used it now for over 1000 miles and have to say since fuels have pushed to E10 for the 10% ethanol my fuel economy went down as ethanol has less energy in it than straight petrol. Went from 43 miles a gallon to 40 miles a gallon on E5 then to 38 miles per gallon with E10 approximately. By adding the correct amount of this I get back about 2-3 miles per gallon and the engine has similar characteristics to an E5 fuel. E10 has noticeable driving effects so this additive does help stabilise it. Your car must have a knock sensor and VVT to benefit from this additive as the computer will readjust your timing to the way it burns the fuel with the additive.Has a sweet smell to it but most of all from what I can see is it reduces carbon build up I get much less soot out the muffler when this is used and the spark plugs look healthier in colour. I have somewhat mixed emotions on this product though as the price to performance claims are high, expensive cost for little return as these benefits are there but not wow factor impressive. Stabilising the E10 fuel for better cleaner burn of fuel is on the limit worth it. If it was cheaper in cost then I would be impressed but due to the high price for low return it is an expensive additive. If you are expecting a massive increase in performance from your car by adding this then you will be disappointed however, it does add improvement when used with ethanol added fuels.

Effective for emissions.
I've used this product for over 3 years on the same diesel car and a small commercial vehicle. When using Dipetane the engine is noticeably more responsive and sounds quieter. Nearly everyone who drives the car notices when I don't add Dipetane to the tank. I cannot vouch for MPG savings using Dipetane as the car has several regular drivers with let's just say varying ability and levels of mechanical empathy, it's just a cheap diesel car used to get employees and their equipment around the locality.I started using Dipetane after the car failed it's MOT on emissions and I was told that the Diesel Particulate Filter was becoming blocked. The car does a lot of short journeys which apparently is terrible for the emissions system and quickly blocks the particulate filter in the exhaust, a very expensive item to replace and a hassle to clean manually. It was recommended to me to add Dipetane to a full tank of supermarket diesel and take the car loaded up with people + their gear on a couple of long hard drives in 5th and not 6th gear to get the exhaust hotter than normal. Doing this apparently helps clean the DPF and adding Dipetane somehow adds more heat to the process. The car passed the emissions retest and has done every year since then with no issues. I use Dipetane almost every time I fill up the car, following the instructions on the bottles.I also use Dipetane in an ageing 7.5 ton lorry which doesn't do many miles a year anymore and the 5.9 litre turbo diesel engine in that definitely feels more responsive and smoother on the road. I've noticed that when I remember to add Dipetane that the old diesel engine doesn't blow as much black smoke as it used to so maybe Dipetane cleans the injectors too.

This stuff works!
I purchased a 1 litre bottle of Dipetane for my Audi A7 3.0 TDI as it was recommended on an Audi forum to prevent carbon build up in DPF filters and EGR systems. I use my car on motorways roughly once every six weeks and so thought I would try some to ensure my town running did not cause carbon build up. After the first treatment I found an immediate improvement in MPG and after a second another improvement in MPG. I doubt it will increase further with more use but I feel given the increasing diesel prices is worth the small outlay particularly if you buy a 5 litre bottle as I have just done. I only hope it prevents carbon build up as well as it improves MPG.

This is the dogs! 👌👌 Buy it!!!
Was very dubious about this product (snake oil?) but wanted something to keep the DPF filter in my 2016 Fiesta 1.5Tdci clean. Had used Redex DPF cleaner in the past, but not noticed ANY difference.Thought I'd give Dipetane a try after reading lots of reviews.Noticed an IMMEDIATE improvement in engine smoothness & the engine seems a lot more responsive.Review Update!...In last year's MOT the car was VERY close to failing on particulate emissions. After 3x tank loads treated with Diptane & 1.5k miles, the particulate emissions have gone from borderline fail to exceptionally low & now absolutely breezes the emissions test.Only minor criticisms of the product are...1). The 5ltr bottle top doesn't screw down properly (may leak if inverted!!!)2). Doesn't pour from the 5ltr bottle particularly easily. I pour out '1x tank doses' in smaller bottles to keep in the car.3).Would help if there was an online calculator to calculate dosage rates. I managed ok, but suspect some may get the dosage wrong.
