Not Very Sturdy
It arrived quickly and was well packaged. There was a small dent in it that didn't impact it use. The rod is pretty flimsy and not sturdy. The plastic clips on the ends are cheaply made but worked. These rods are not what they used to be but that seems to be the state of things today. It was not inexpensive but it is cheaply made.

Plastic bracket continental rod
This item does not have metal brackets. I bought it because when I asked that question the first response I got was that it did. Plastic brackets are not durable. By the time I received the second response saying they were plastic I had already ordered.

Easy to install and fit the valances perfectly
These rods were used for hanging valances. The rods fit through the sleeves perfectly and they are sturdy.

5" continental rod is great for a simple valance treatment
The 2.5" continental rod is great for a simple valance treatment. However the picture you show with the rod is that of a traverse rod not a flat 2.5" rod.
