Advanced Platinum Series P300 300w 12-Band LED Grow Light - Dual Veg/Flower Full Spectrum

I have just purchased this light, making the move from 400W HPS and will be running a side by side test.(Will edit this post in a short while with a comparison)I have found PlatinumLED a pleasure to deal with, the item was stocked, shipped and delivered without any problems on there part.I have asked a couple of questions after purchase and have had them answered very quickly so you can tell the company are not the type to sell you a dream and leave you in a nightmare like some around today, they care about the customer.On to the light itself....I was excited to open the item and was greeted with a well built, good looking piece of kit.I turned it upside down and placed it on supports either end so the fans could run without being covered, plugged it in and now I'm blind!Only kidding!!!! Will say, damn.....this light is bright, much brighter than I imagined, if the results on the grow are parallel to the results of my initial shock I am going to be very, very happy. Worth the money!On a side note, I have decided to follow up the purchase with some amber tinted, UV protected safety glasses from 3M, not sure if they are needed but I feel that too much exposure to the LED could lead to problems. (Just my opinion, not based on fact)Would recommend PlatinumLED - 100%

Never used LED before so first go. Almost finished a season under these and so far the lights have performed very well.Good quality, look nice and easy to set up and use.My only negative is about the noise they generate. I have 2 x 300w and they are very, very noisy. I read a lot of reviews about this product prior to buying. A few people had mentioned the noise and a few had said they were low noise. Well I don't have super ears and the fans are very loud. my noise output has increased noticeably. Luckily it's still manageable but I will have to look in to trying to reduce my overall noise output as it is noticeable. Thanks

I really like these fittings. I have two of them in a small conservatory where I grow AdenIums and Plumeria. Without the lights, these desert plants tend to sulk when we get an all too common dull patch of weather. Temperature has never been an issue but light levels were. These lights sort this out really well and my AdenIums are already flowering better than ever, too early to know with the Plumeria on flowering but they are growing really well early. I am very pleased with the quality of the Platinum fittings. I tried some cheaper lights first but they didn't produce the same results - a case of you get what you pay for.

I had to write a review for this product. It's so far been top quality and a 5 year warranty. They are confident in their product. And so they should be. It's brilliant at dispersion of heat. It's sometimes almost cool to touch. Yet gives off every single light spectrum any plant, herb or vegetables need. I've seen a big improvement in all my vegetables and herbs. Leaves are thicker. Less pest want to bit them. Vigorous growth and max input of about 178 watts? I believe. Well if you think your own helth is worth growing food you know what's going into it then this is the one! Highly recommended by a lot of reviews on line from top gardeners. Give off loads of lux yet a lux machine picks only visible light this also has IR and UV light it won't. I'm happy.

This is brilliant, not completed a full grow of my chillies yet so can't comment on outcome so far, only thing I have to say is that this is heavy, there is no way you could hang this from a tent, I used four rope pulleys and a converted metal shelving unit,the four eyelets at the corners have small holes and the hooks on the pulleys are too big for them so slight adjustments in some kit required,otherwise pleased with the output and low consumption of power. Great product so far.

Have now attempted three crops with this lamp, three different varieties, each grown many times over in the past with some success.Here, all grew fine, all flowered fine.....but these particular flowers should be sticky as hell & glistening......Whereas, under this lamp, all were dry, bordering on crispy & not one single sparkle...ever.Penetration appears very weak...very top flowers get overdone whilst waiting for most everything below, which is way behind.In addition, it's `whisper quiet` fans are a whole lot noisier than the extractor I needed to use before.

Had 2 of these lights a few years now and have used them quite a bit but not all year round, happy with the growth of my plants nice and healthy but now both my P300 and P450 have multiple faulty leds. I've contacted the seller but no reply both lights are still well inside the 5 years warranty stated i expected better from a more high end product, disappointing.

This is a really good LED grow light especially at the time I bought it, it does still create some heat so you will need ventilation for your grow setup.

We recently had a P300 stop working properly. We contacted "Tom" at PLATINUMLED, and informed him of the problem, and explained that the light was barely three (3) years old. (The lights are suppose to be under warranty for five (5) years.) I was instructed to run a test on the lights, which I did. It showed that the light board was not working properly. He told me to send him Proof Of Purchase, The Code Off Of The Light, and My Address. Which I have done. It has been well over a week, and still no response. I sent him e-mails, still no response. The main reason for us buying these lights was the warranty. In my opinion, these lights are no better, or worse, than most LED Lights being sold by other retailers. But the other LED lights cost a fraction of the amount that you pay for these lights. Plus, most of the other LED Lights, carry a three (3) year warranty. So in conclusion, I CAN NOT recommend these lights! If they do finally decide to honor their warranty, I will update this review.
