Soldering Iron Station 60W Premium Rework Station Soldering Iron Set with Temperature Control (90℃-480℃) LED Digital Display

Bought this as a gift to make my life easier. Basically i'd been struggling at my father in laws to use his old rubbish soldering iron, when helping with his motorcycle restoration projects. He also has several other mates that help him. Initially he complained as it took up more space on his work bench, but after we all started commenting on how good it was to finally be using a decent soldering iron, he shut up. :) At work i use £2K soldering irons and have to check the temperature with a calibrated monitor before and after use, hence i know what a decent temp controlled iron is. I didn't feel this was anywhere near that quality and probably isn't that accurate but for the price it's a great piece of kit.

Got for over half after his broke but it seems to do the job he uses it all the time and not complained about it so we happy with that

A very nice product for price, rapidly warmed up and nice temperature control with lock off.

This was a great soldering iron and let me do work on a couple of guitars. Unfortunately part way through the third time I used it the heater packed in. I'm told that it isn't covered under warranty and can be replaced however the heating element is soldered in place so I'd have to buy another soldering iron just to fix this one. I'm still waiting on the seller responding further to my query.

waste of money doesn't even heat up it does but then it goes to sleep and doesn't come off sleep mode waste of money

Ordered one for day-to-day basic soldering - turned it on to give it a try, as soon as the temp crossed 200C, it went to sleep; the unit doesn't wake up, so you have to power-cycle to wake.The un/lock switch doesn't seem to make any difference as to how this behaves - the lock only seems to prevent changing the temperature.If it didn't go to sleep (before 10 mins, too), or at least woke-up without a power-cycle, I'd be quite pleased with this purchase.When I first opened it, the tip was barely screwed on - if anyone buys this as their first iron, be very careful to check that the tip isn't loose - also, one of the two screws for holding the spool in place was missing.Pros - heats up very quickly, clear display, sponge & tip cleaner and with a solder reel holderCons - sleep mode makes this impossible to use for periods of time, iron is very light and unless there is a spool in place then it may slide around.

I upgraded from a cheap soldering iron and used this for a few small soldering jobs.The temperature control is so useful for maintaining the life of the tip.I definitely recommend if you're not going to be using it all the time, I'm not sure how well it will hold up to constant use.

Easy to use, managed to resolder my motorbike wires easily with this. Best solder machine I have ever brought, and glad I did!
