Excellent!!!!
Gets the job done, fast and easy. It produces nice clean threads. Its a great product. Blades remain sharp after dozens of threading. Excellent brand!!! Will purchase this brand again if I need to.

Pretty easy to use. Even a girl can do it. ;)
First time I've ever threaded black pipe. I ran black pipe to plumb for our air compressor lines in 2 shops. I would go about a 1/4 to a half a turn then reverse to break off the chip and the forward again. Only had one thread to have a problem, there was a little metal chip caught in the threads that caused to the threads that were being cut to have a torn look and it was very hard to cut the threads. Removed the chip and everything worked great again. Use oil. Lots of it. My husband didn't think I could do it. I watched a youtube video by MrPete222 Machine Shop Tips #7.

Rigid High Quality Pipe Threading 1/2” Die
After purchasing a cheap Rachet Pipe Threader Set, I decided to purchase a quality pipe threader 1/2” die from Rigid along with the Rigid Rachet Pipe Threader Handle. I’m glad that I purchased these quality tools made by Rigid so i can get rid of my cheap set.

Best 1/2 in pipe die made
I cant afford the entire set of RIDGID pipe cutting dies so I buy them as needed. All you need is the ratcheting handle and a can of cutting oil and you're ready to start your plumbing projects.

Ridged products usually speak for themselves.
Picture on Amazon was the wrong die head but I called Ridged to confirm it fit the smaller head ratchets. Works great.
