As you’d expect, I’ve done this properly
Words of wisdom from the level headed Mr May.Expect wit, sarcasm, intelligent reasoning and tomfoolery from the head of a man wise beyond his years.I’ve always enjoyed anything created by James May and this book is no exception. The world always needs more May!

Better than expected
As a more serious motoring journalist than his Top Gear colleague Jeremy Clarkson May writes in a less sensationalist style with a little more gravitas. This makes it more enjoyable to read for me as you can get a bit fed up of the whole ' I drove like my (hair/trousers/shoes/pants) were on fire' approach that Clarkson takes. Some very interesting stuff in this book and one that I read really quickly. If you like reading about cars and have only read Clarkson then try May, I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

very humourous
If you ask me he is one of the best presenters on Top Gear and some of his programs that he has done are some of the best documentaries I have ever seen and if you have not read any of his stuff then you are missing something good, he has an extremly good sense of humour and writes as well as Jeremy Clarkson does.

A Petrol head
I liked his writing style. It was enjoyable, easy to follow and somewhat true for me at least. I used to drawer car engines at school and my friends were truly fascinated. I bet James May did as well. A good read and the odd reference to steam engines resonated with me.

Well recommended
Typical James May always worth a read even if it is rehashed articles from his earlier journalistic efforts still very entertaining
