Love this for taking off make-up at night!
I originally ordered this to use in my morning shower, until I noticed that Cleansing Balm is supposed to be used on dry skin, not wet. I was a bit hesitant about this at first, but actually completely love this new type of cleanser! It is a game changer for me for taking off my make-up and cleansing my face in the evening. It has a creamy, lotion like consistency and is applied all over the face, including eyes/lashes. Once rubbed in for a bit, I take a cotton pad and wipe off all my mascara and also all my foundation. It does a thorough job of very gently removing dirt/make-up. I then run one more cotton pad of Micellar Water over my face, but this pad comes away clean - it's just to make sure there is no leftover residue of any sort. This is working perfectly for my aging, combination skin. It doesn't add a step to my routine because it has replaced my need to use an oily type eye make-up remover. And now I don't have that weird cloudiness left over in my eyes that sometimes occurred with liquid eye make-up remover! I am so happy I found this, and will 100% continue using Cleansing Balm in the future.

Makes my skin feel amazing!
This is not anything like your everyday face cleanser, and that's a good thing! Biome+ cleansing comfort balm is a makeup remover/cleanser that can be used with or without water to gently remove makeup and dirt, while retaining your skin's moisture and leaving behind softness and moisture. I like to use this at the end of the day. I massage it onto my face and neck for about a minute, then gently rinse it off with cool water, pat dry with a face towel, and follow it up with a nighttime moisturizer. I love how it leaves my skin feeling clean, refreshed, and dewy soft. It has a nice, mildly citrusy scent that is very pleasant and doesn't stick around after washing. Some other reviewers said that this made their skin oily or left a residue, but I didn't have a problem with that. If anything, I felt that that this was perfect for my sensitive skin because it got my skin clean but didn't strip away all of my skin's moisture. This is a perfect every day nighttime cleanser for people with dry or sensitive skin.

Removes Makeup & Grime Well▪️NonGreasy Hydrating Residue▪️Use As PreCleanse and/or Tone After
This IMAGE Skincare BIOME+ Cleansing Comfort Balm is super compatible with my dry, sensitive and mature (55+) skin. It’s a white, creamy cleanser without chemical fragrance but has just a hint of a citrusy scent from ingredients that I don’t find strange or unpleasant. This is thicker than the milky cleansers I use yet similar in that it doesn’t foam up as I massage it into my skin or add water. This can simply be tissued off, though I prefer rinsing and patting my skin dry. This cleanser leaves a light moisturizing residue that makes my skin feel really soft, hydrated and comforted while still feeling nice and clean. I feel my dry skin gets a head start on non greasy hydration along with clean skin. I do feel this would be a great first step in a double cleanse after I wear heavier makeup and sunscreen, though I haven’t yet felt like I need a second cleanse. I have followed with alcohol free toner and have had little to no grime left on my cotton round. Love it. 5 stars. Made in USA.

It's a balm but you're supposed to wash it off?
This balm comes in a tube with a safety seal. It has the consistency of a creamy lotion (not watery in consistency at all) and has a pleasant light citrus smell. I've attached a photo of the ingredient on the box because they aren't stated anywhere in the product listing and sometimes people have allergies.I always do a patch test on my hand before putting anything on my face, and I found this to leave a bit of an oily film like that was reminiscent of petroleum jelly. I have no problem with this if it's on my hand, but I wouldn't want to put it on my face in case it caused me to break out. The oily residue left behind is probably the reason that the instructions say to either tissue off after use or rinse off with water. This is the main reason I gave it three stars.... I don't want to put something oily on my face even if I am washing it off, and I don't want to put something on my hand only to have to follow the directions and wash it off because that seems to defeat the purpose of putting it on at all.If a person has extremely dry skin on their entire face (and not combination skin), maybe it would be a benefit to apply this and then wipe off the excess with a tissue, but I don't see it working for me.

Especially good for dry skin
My daughter has extremely dry skin that is easily irritated. She has found that washing her face with almost any product that requires water dries out her skin. When her skin is too dry, her break outs are worse. She discovered that using a cleansing toner works relatively well for her, but she always fears she isn't quite removing everything. This balm is a great addition. She can use this first to clean off make up and sunscreen and then follow with her toner. She uses the Breylee acne treatment line in conjunction with this balm, and her skin is pretty much completely clear now. This is a bit pricey, but it works well and doesn't take much. We will buy this again. This feels a bit like a thin lotion with some oil in it. It rubs onto/into the skin well. When you wipe it off with a tissue or wash cloth, you can definitely see that it is pulling away makeup and grime from the day. There is a bit of an oily feel left behind, but this is the very thing that keeps it from being drying.
