The Defining Vegetable Shortening, Inexpensive
It's Crisco, the name synonymous with vegetable shortening, and still the best I've used. Cheapest price I've found for the big can. Half a cup for a cake based on a heavily modified whoopie pie recipe: So, so tasty. Not really sure what to say about it other than Crisco has been the go to name for vegetable shortening for so long, and doing it so well, that a half the folks I know just call vegetable shortening Crisco. It's a well earned default.

The top of the can was dented
The top of the can was dented, the metal ring so once you open it and put the plastic lid on the can will not seal. Very disappointed in this. I give the product 5 stars its the shape of the product when received that I'm not satisfied with.

Makes great looking cookies that hold their form, but my cookies didn’t taste as fresh.
The taste could be better, but it keeps my cookies together. Next time I will substitute half of the crisco for butter to help with the flavoring. It works well in making sundae sauces though.
