Ultra-FabProducts 48-979006 - Ultra Scissor Jack - 24" - no hand crank

Used on travel trailer to replace a bent stabilizer jack. This jack is much stronger than the original jacks on the travel trailer. I did have to make some modifications. The mounting bracket from the old jack is welded to the frame on the travel trailer so I had to remove the mounting bracket from the Ultra Fab Products scissor jack. It took a little work to get it lined up to fit the mounting bracket on the trailer but a little persuasion with a mallet and a screwdriver made it work. The only downfall is that the screw mechanism works in reverse. Not a big deal. I would not hesitate to buy this product again for the same purpose.

Very solid and well made. Only thing I don’t like is that extend is counter clockwise rather than clockwise like the other 3 jacks on my RV

Seemed like a great scissor jack/stabilizer for my RV, but the bolt holes did not match up for proper mounting. I purchased a different brand that matched up perfectly, this one was about 1/16 of an inch from lining up. Bummer, have to return it now.****UPDATED REVIEW****I decided to give it another shot and was able to find a bolt pattern that matched well enough for the mounting. But the jack is at a bit of an 'off angle.' It'll do the trick since it's only for stabilizing anyway. But I did discover after mounting that you have to crank the jack the opposite direction of the standard. I have absolutely no idea why they reversed the direction to raise and lower the jack, but it't not worth the bother to remove and return it.I probably wouldn't recommend this scissor jack.

My OEM units was too flimsy and bent out of shape after just a few seasons. These are solid built and I have used it now for several years in multiple trips with no issues. I plan to swap out the rest of the jacks with this one soon. I also found putting some lithium grease on it help with the ease of operation.

I cannot, for the life of me, understand why the makers of this jack would send them out the door with the screw set so it sticks out well past the side of the trailer.

If I could change one thing on my new jacks, it would to be only a couple inches higher. These jacks are hearty, strong, and handy. I bought 4, and welded them to my 28' camper. My camper is of the older, heavier verity, so flimsy lightweight jacks would not due.I would buy again any day, NICE JACKS!PS. If you buy these jacks, keep in mind they don't come with a wrench. My solution was to pick up a socket for my cordless drill, and it works slick! You can find both on Amazon as well.

I got the scissor jack in good condition. The feel of the jack had a heavy weight to it and seems like it was well constructed. With zero load pushing down on the jack, it extended to full hight up and down very smoothly using my 18v makita drill w/ 19mm socket.When actually trying to lift up my mini van, I couldn't get it to work. With a load pressing down on the jack, my high powered 18v drill on the slow speed (which has the more power) could not lift up the corner of my mini van.By hand, I could force it up some but it felt as if the screw thread and the retaining bolt wasn't properly aligning while lifting a load. I've used scissor jacks often and then some on my van until it eventually fails, then I buy a new one.This unit seems good out of the box but on use, I don't know if it's defective or just a lousy piece of equipment but I couldn't use it at all.I wasn't expecting such a dud of a scissor jack so I didn't keep any of the packaging materials or the box. Plus using it once, it's scratched and with dents on the underside of the base, I wasn't sure how I could ask for a refund so I just threw it away the next day.My recommendation is to pass on this unit and try something else.

Excellent product. Easy to install. Affordable price. No shipping charges. Extremely fast shipment.I replaced a scissor jack on my 2005 Keystone Hornet travel trailer. I removed the old one and installed this new one in 10 minutes. Very easy. Simply removed the old jack (left the original mounting brack on the camper frame), removed the mounting brackets on this new jack. Then, bolted the new jack onto the original jack mounting bracket.Nice, strong jack. Looks great.
