Steens Richmond 4 plus 2 Drawer Pine Chest of Drawers, Cream

I have built quite a number of flat pack pieces of furniture down the years but this is without doubt the best quality yet. It is easy to build, superb looking, immensely sturdy and outstanding value for money. I cannot understand some of the negative reviews as I simply can't find fault with this and I'm a fairly critical person as a rule. People who say the drawers fell out simply musn't have followed the assembly instructions well enough. I highly recommend this chest of drawers.

Quite a good piece of furniture except for the packaging which caused some of the pieces to sustain slight damage

Bought these draws earlier this year for my daughters bedroom as they looked sturdy and fitted in with the colour scheme. Worst product i have ever purchased. They are not sturdy, they wobble and have to have something under one of the feet to keep it still. Every draw has fallen apart at least 3 or four times, you have to carefully open them if you don't want the front to fall off. The draws have been glued numerous times by my husband who is an engineer. Total waste of a hundred pounds!!!

Liked and ordered this item with two bedside cabinets before reading any reviews. After reading the reviews (pretty much all bad regarding packaging ) I was obviously concerned about my orders. Glad to say all three came in excellent condition due to strong outer covering. Units easy to build even though I'm in the building trade and look good also drawers run well on metal sliders

On opening the package found a number of the items were damaged, drawer front, two legs, the plastic back joiner. It was obviously dropped somewhere in transit. Managed to construct hiding the damaged parts. It looks OK but wonder how much use I will get, it is in a guest room, so may last. Wished I'd read the reviews before purchase, lesson learnt!There needs to be some quality control for this product. I wonder who reads these reviews as nothing seems to have changed since the last complaints. You get what you pay for I guess !!

A really good looking product, that looks worth its relatively high cost. Unfortunately the compamny's bean counters have escaped and got into the drawing office. So we have very downmarket drawer sliders with no wheels, just metal on metal contact thatt will get stiff before long. And we have drawer fronts held on by a couple of dowel rods and glue! So when you pull the drawer and it sticks, the front will come off! All for the proce of some proper fittings.Poor quality instructions that had me tearing my hair out, but when I had finished it looked OK. Probably OK for a guest bedroom that isn't used very much but not for hard family use.

Already have wardrobes, dressing table, ottoman and bedside cabinets so this was an addition, love the quality. Excellent.

Had some problems putting it together, instructions could've been a bit clearer and definitely doesn't take 1.5 hours to put together, took a lot longer. Phoned their support and spoke to Simon who was very helpful so got there in the end. Pleased with product in the end though.
