Excellent Starter
My 2002 WRX Starter finally went after 250k miles, a Factory replacement was very expensive, I have trusted DB Electric for many starters including my Boat and is a trusted name

Works
Installed and works in my 2002 WRX. Unlike the starter motor that another online parts distributor (an auto parts company that, in fact, does not ‘rock’) sent me. Will update this review if I ever experience any issues.

Arrived quickly, looks new and works.
My starter died in my daily driver which prompted me to start desperately looking for a replacement. I called a few places within about a 30-40 minutes drive and none of them had a suitable starter in stock. This was one of the few I found which would get here quickly and was much cheaper than ordering from a local auto store especially when considering overnight shipping.I have been running this in my car, 04 WRX Manual, for a few months. It has been solid so far. I did appreciate it came with a performance print out showing some sort of QA. I do think the rate power is higher than a standard manual starter to likely make it compatible with the automatic as well. It is just a suspicion as I was unable to confirm they don't specially mention compatibility on their website. They do offer a warranty but do keep in mind you will be waiting a while when compared to a local store. So far, mine is still working well. Likely will not last as long as an OEM starter but it's far cheaper and easier to get.

Used to Fit great and work well.. for 8 months, then DEAD
Works great and fits perfectly in my 03 wrx engine. Cranks the engine fast, doesn't grind the planetary gear and came with a test sheet.Update 7/2/18:Starter failed 6/14/18, bought in 10/17. Had to push start my car in my work parking lot because it worked perfectly fine that morning and then all of a sudden it stopped.i DO NOT Recommend this starter!! I actually replaced this with a Duralast starter from AutoZone, way better quality and warranty
