Water is mystical.And just speaking practically, this shower head has 80 easy-to-clean, silicone spray nozzles, that resist lime, and optimize water flow because they can be quickly wiped clean. The older Hansgrohe shower heads did not have this feature, and they had to be removed to be cleaned. I speak from experience. This is a great feature. The other great feature that may seem counterintuitive is that, the trim plate is plastic. I was surprised. Until I realized how much time I’d spent in the past cleaning scale off my chrome trim plates. This new durable plastic trim plates is a vast improvement.Aesthetically speaking, the Vernis Blend Shower Head and single-handle thermostatic water flow control are visually striking and very elegant.

The hardware is really great. FYI.. this is not metal. It is a really nicely finished plastic to look like chromed metal. That is ok with me because I have hard water and hope that the plastic will be easier to clean.. maybe. We shall see. But you need to take out a piece from the bathtub to change out the controller. I do not feel comfortable doing it myself so I’m having a professional install it. I’m currently just using the shower head and that is really great. If you aren’t comfortable with shutting off the water and/or plumbing, I wouldn’t get this item.

Attractive large showerhead, verging on the size of the typical rainfall showerhead. The brushed nickel finish is very nice, although I found it odd that the top surface of the showerhead is plain black plastic with exposed screws -- I suppose no one ever really looks there, but it just seems a bit jarring.I'm currently only using the showerhead, and have not tried installing the valve or the rest of the hardware, since that didn't need replacing (yet). From what I can tell in the box, the design is also very nice, which is what would be expected from Hansgrohe.

The media could not be loaded.  This is a fairly inexpensive shower set from hansgrohe, the classy German maker of plumbing fixtures for kitchen and bath.hansgrohe stands with a few other manufacturers near the top of the value/quality ladder. They're not the most expensive maker of fixtures, but their fixtures can't be beat functionally. There are more avant gard designs and more unique looks, but hansgrohe isn't beaten on quality of valves and finishes or durability of fixtures.You can spend triple the price of this unit just on a hansgrohe shower head, and it will have a fully finished metal back unlike this set's showerhead with a plastic back. It will also be larger. But it won't really be significantly better.In addition, some of this set's other trim pieces are plastic, though the handle is solid metal through and through.If you like the look of this set and you don't care that the part of the showerhead no one ever looks at is plastic, get this set. This shower head really is beautiful.... however, as other reviews mentioned, it is plastic, not metal. If that's not important to you, the look of it is exceptional. I'm excited to see how the silicone surrounding the spray helps with cleaning, as we have lots of CLR buildup.Other reviews mentioned needing extra pieces to install, but mine came with everything needed.

Hansgrohe Vernis Blend Shower Set 1-Spray Full in Brushed Nickel, Rough, and Shower Valve Included 2.5 GPM, 04952820 (Brushed Nickel, 2.5)-absolutely beautiful set, and pretty easy to install. Looks great and works well. The showerhead itself is huge and gives a good flow of water. Recommended.
