Great unit to replace previous tankless system. Endless hot water and quiet running.
I was a little apprehensive when I found this unit priced higher on other sites, but I took the chance. Quick shipping, great documentation, and the unit works perfectly. This isn't your garden variety DYI. Had to replumb water and gas lines because it wasn't an exact match to my previous Rinnai. Word of advice if you do it yourself: Replace the stack and replace the valves. If you have any doubt, spend the money on a plumber/gas installer--not worth flooding/blowing up your house.

Great product. I have 2 tankless systems in my house - one for each end. My other is also a Rinnai After we lost our house in the 2007 wildfires in San Diego we rebuilt a new home and went with the tankless technology. I am replacing another redeye that has been there since 2009 so I’m very happy with the longevity.

Flawless operation.
Replaced my Camplux with Rinnai in my Airbnb. No more bad reviews because the heater failed to ignite. Works like a charm.

Misleading catalog ohoto
Excellent machine , highly electronic and complicated but works amazingly. The photo on the Amazon site incorrectly shows a top flu vent pipe manifold but outdoor units only come front vented . The exhaust vent is blower assist to help remove gasses from the building and doesn't have gas odor but I would prefer venting out the roof as gas exhaust is toxic .

Not worth it
Update. Plumber has been here again and can't clear an error code 12 from a brand new system. This is ridiculous! We'll be reg this overpriced hunk of junkHad it installed and it didn't get the water hot. Paid an extra $450 for another plumber to come fix it. Still doesn't get the water hot. Don't waste your money
