Product description ------------------- Bulgarian Bee Royal jelly, unlike honey, is not a substance collected by the honey bees from flowers. It is a pale yellowish product made by the worker bees by mixing honey, bee and enzymes they secret from their throats. The final food (royal jelly) is extremely tious as it contains loads of s and minerals. Worker bees produce royal jelly to feed bee larvae in the first several days of their hatching. This way the larvae receive a y and tious boost so they can survive. After 3 or 4 days, the larvae stop consuming royal jelly. The queen larvae, however, are placed in special queen cells surrounded by royal jelly. By consuming this substance, queen larvae develop their “queen morphology” thanks to the protein “royalactin”. That protein causes them to develop ovaries and grow far larger than the worker bees.
