This is pretty. It feels well constructed and made with care. The paper is smooth, and is a nice brown color. I wouldn't use any wet media on the paper, but it seems nice for most other media. I haven't had a chance to use it, but will update as I do. I do recommend it, everything about it feels well made and expensive. And it just looks nice and feels nice to the hands.

This is a thick, heavy journal with real leather which is beautifully embossed with curlicues, and the spine is stitched with additional leather straps. The pages are antiquey yellowed paper and fairly heavy - there was a missed opportunity here to add to the interest of the journal by giving the pages deckle edges, but otherwise this is quite a nice journal.

I got this as a gift for my son, he loves to draw. I secretly hope he will fill it up with drawings and just give it back! This looks just as pictured, it seems like a great deal for the price. Not too big, not too small. Very happy.

The quality is very good and especially for the price. Similar items were twice the price at a local craft fair this year. I think my son will love this for sketching.

The media could not be loaded.  This 4x6 landscape, or portrait style journal/book makes for a unique addition for anyone who loves leatherbound journals. The embossing is ornate and it feels of good quality. The book is easy to lay flat, and it's impressive in thickness.It's such a beautiful book that it will be hard to want to break it in as it just feels so special. I love the sepia tone of the blank pages. I feel like this would be a great book to put your favorite quotes in. The styling really makes you want your handwriting to match the eloquence of the design.I plan to put my calligraphy pen to good use after I practice a bit more.

The embossing is the right kind of ornate and everything else has the exact sort of handmade feel you want in a book like this down to the visible wax thread biding.The leather is soft enough to make opening the sketchbook easy, whether you plan on holding it upwards or sideways in landscape.Really, the only hard part is deciding what to write or draw in here, as some level of calligraphy or sketchwork feels like it's required to match the exterior appearance.
