Not sure why there are so many negative reviews. Its exactly the same as the original remover its just charcoal color. It has the same smell and performs the exact same as original.

Same great makeup remover from Clinique - this time with charcoal. Stick to dark facecloths for washing off though.

I have been a big supporter of Clinique brand products for a while and I really love this charcoal makeup remover. It takes everything off my face effortlessly and leaves my skin feeling silky smooth. I love that a little goes a long way and it's really no joke that it seems to dissolve my makeup right away. Definitely going to keep ordering.

I ordered this by mistake as I usually use the balm version of this. It cleans well and unlike the balm, it leaves no residue on the face. Takes off makeup very well, even mascara. You do not have to use a lot either. You are left with a super clean feel.I’m not used to using charcoal products but it tends to leave a mess on sink, counter etc, even when I’m careful. You have to rinse it or wipe it off throughly. Sometimes I can go back over and still see black on my cloth.

I find this to be very effective at removing makeup. You use your dry fingers to apply it to your face and then you rinse it off, followed by a normal cleanser. It is a bit messy as it is black but it wipes up easily and I don't mind because I love the way it makes my face feel so clean-- I just feel it does a great job of removing my makeup and face products.I have extremely sensitive skin but don't have any issues with this product. I love that it doesn't have fragrance ingredients and it also doesn't have any strong smells. One container will last me a very long time.

This charcoal one isn’t nearly as good as the balm clear one! Very disappointed with this one and will be switching back.
