Rotosound RS77s Flatwound short scale 40-90
Anyone using a Harmony H27 bass will know the difficulty in finding a set strings that fit well.I can confirm these fit. (short scale. RS77s flats)The ball end to silk/taper is spot on. The guage is good to, the E string will fit into the peg slot without any trouble. The tension seems to work fine on the old H27 neck without causing any neck problems. For anyone confused by the description, black steel, I can confirm these are steel / metal coloured strings. They are not black in colour. In general Not as nice as labellas which I use on my other basses. But then again nowhere near as expensive. But a pretty decent string.Hope this helps any H27 owners.

Fantastic sound.
I purchase these strings for my Hofner Violin Bass. The sound is so full and the resonance just keeps on going. They have a smooth sound that makes you want to just listen. Obviously you cannot as you're playing the sound. A real deep wolley sound that is ideal for laid back music. There is also a very nice punch to the sound when you want it. They are fantastic.11/10

Perfect for short-scale bass
I converted a standard 6-string acoustic guitar to serve as a practice bass. All I needed to complete the job was a good set of short-scale strings. I am delighted with my choice. Delivery was really quick, and the strings are now on my guitar. They sound great - nice warm tone and perfectly suited to the scale.

Doesn't fit
Have a Hofner Ignition Club bass (short scale) 30' and this does not fit it. At first I thought I was being stupid and forgot how to fit strings on a bass. I read so many good reviews here and only a few people mentioned it doesn't fit their bass so I thought how likely is it that it will happen to me? It did.Never buying these again.

E string was dead out of the pack
Very disappointing. Not the quality you would expect from Rotosound. The E string was dead with a very dull tone straight out of the pack. So much so, it was also difficult to tune and almost impossible to play a harmonic on it. The remaining 3 strings were nice and bright as you would expect from Rotosound.

Flatwound strings
i ordered the wrong scale length strings, and the company was especially helpful, and exchanged them for the right ones without any hassle. quick turnaround as well. The flat wound strings were a welcome change to the round wound strings i had been using.I have a Violin body Bass guitar, and the flats give a warmer jazzier feel, both audibly and physically, and almost no squeaky string noise, that can come with new round wound strings.if you haven't used flat wound strings, i would recommend that you give them a try

Great strings with a fab tone.
Great set of strings, light feel and fab tone. Stay in tune nicely too. Really like them and are now my bass string of choice.

Great sound!
I recently put these flatwound strings on my short scale Squier Jaguar bass. They have a nice rich sound and are easy on the fingers.
