Painted my brake drums with this paint! Good stuff!
I put new brake drums on my 2015 Jeep Compass, and I wanted them to look nice and not get rusted since a lot of aftermarket drums don't have the best coating. I used this black gloss spray paint over the Rustoleum Engine Primer (600* stuff). It went on great, looks great, and I'm happy with the results. I'll use it to do my stock brake calipers next, just so they kind of match the rear wheels. I'll probably use a clear-coat on the calipers, but I didnd't think that was necessary with the drums. The gloss has a nice shine to it, and I think this paint will really harden up as it cures. This stuff does take a long while to fully cure, so handle with care if you put your parts back on before the curing process is completed. I've heard you can also use heat (like an oven, sunlight, etc) to help it cure faster. Do you research.

Easy application, ventilate for odor
I bought this to paint the cast-iron radiators in my house that needed a touchup. The paint was very easy to apply, color quality was good, and the price was definitely reasonable. It did have a bit of an odor, as would be expected, so do crack a window while using it indoors.

Decent paint but Low Quantity
Colour is nice, adhesion is solid when using compatible primer, however I am always surprised at how quickly the cans run out. Upon investigating it would seem that in comparison to your average can the quantity is significantly less, which is not noticeable at first because the cans are all the same size. If you have a large item buy it in the paint quart or half gallon cans that are NON pressurized and then used a sprayer, otherwise you’re just being ripped off in the name of convenience.Otherwise its self leveling performance was impressive, hence the three stars, but understand that the convenience of the paint being in the can robs you significantly of quantity and ability to finish the job. I was forced to get an additional four cans to finish this (6 cans total), when previously, I used the half gallon cans of enamel at half the price for a similar job and I have had leftovers.

NOT EVEN CLOSE TO A COLOR MATCH AS ADVERTISED!!
I actually have no idea of the "heat resistance", "ease of use", or "adhesion" of the product, as I have not (nor will I ever) use the product.I was trying to find a spray paint that matched the color of a high-end, folding bicycle that I keep on my boat, for some "touch-up" of select areas that had developed corrosion. (Everything on a boat, it's prone to corrosion.) Based on the ad, this APPEARED to be an exact color match, even though I did not need the "heat resistance" feature of the product. But if you look at the attached photo, the image on the left was taken from the ad... the photo on the right was taken of the item that actually arrived. Obviously there is little similarity, other than that they are both "shades of gray".RETURN IT? My only "land" transportation is an RV that gets 7 mpg, and the nearest Amazon return "drop-off" point is a 50mi round trip. As such it would cost me at least THREE TIMES the purchase price just to return it! Add to that the wasted time to do so. So this will be yet another purchase that goes into the trash, as a cheaper alternative to returning it!I NEVER would have expected this from RUST-OLEUM... the brand that USED to be my go-to for spray paint! Whatever happened to "truth in advertising"?
