YES!
This is the best charger/data cable/adapter I have bought to date. And I've bought a few. Works perfect and keeps me at 80% battery. Would recommend!

Does not work with Quest 3
It will show that your device is charging, on the headset as well as the led on the adapter itself. However there is not enough power transferred to charge the unit and it will just drain down regardless while in use.

I think this will save the usb port from side loading.
I mainly got this because I think this will save the usb port from side loading. Having the link cable plugged in is probably hard enough on the port just hanging there. Then if you step on the cable while moving about you could pull on the port substantially to the point of dislodging it from the headset. The KKCOBVR A2 Link Cable Adapter solved that problem for me along with the problem of having to switch between the link cable and the x-tra play time battery cable. Now when I play a PC link game I just plug that cable in and the battery cable is already in place, I'm good to go..I myself would prefer a longer cable from the A2 to the headset so I could put it in a different location than I had to settle for, but I suppose with aftermarket items its a bit hard to work it out so everyone would be happy. Perhaps someday someone will integrate the A2 adapter into a good well balanced head strap that has a battery built in. (hint to any developer's out there that might read this)I did run in a PC link game using the A2 adapter, not only did it sync up without any issues in the game performance, my Quest 2 kept itself charged up.The provided Velcro strips in my opinion could have been a bit longer so they could wrap around my head strap and hold the A2 adapter better. (where I have it mounted it just barely reaches and it only takes the slightest tug to release the hook & loops of the Velcro. If others like it shorter it can always be trimmed off, its just not easy to make it stretch. All said I think the KKCOBVR A2 Link Cable Adapter is a accessory you need if you are using a link cable almost a must to help prevent undue stress on the usb port. I highly recommend you get one.

doesn't work for quest 3
So I bought this with the intention of using it for my quest 3. It worked perfectly fine for about a month and then just stopped working. It forced. my link cable to not connect every time and basically caused the charging slot of my headset to not even work right with the link cable. at random it will connect to link and at random it won't For the first few weeks of using it, it was very enjoyable And I liked it. I wish there was one more optimized for the quest 3 though, because it didn't fit right It always hung off the side and it wasn't really optimized for it. I don't think so. Jokes on me, I guess.

NOT COMPATIBLE WITH QUEST 3!
After looking at questions about it working with the quest 3 it said it should be compatible. IT IS NOT! It only charges and will not give a blue light for link NO MATTER how many times you restart your headset like the directions say to do! Rip off! 100% returning!

Excellent device to give you the best of both worlds - max charge and data bandwidth
This is an excellent device to care for a very specific need for heavy Quest users. After reading several reviews, I got the distinct impression the purpose of this device is not well understood.Without this device, if you want to use the Oculus Link feature AND charge the device simultaneously, you have very limited options. Obviously charging without a PC connection is simple. Likewise connecting to your PC via Oculus Link - although requiring a good quality cable - isn't a challenge. If you use the Oculus-branded fiber optic link cable, or something similar with fiber-optics, you can ALMOST maintain your existing charge level (even with Oculus' cable, you will slowly lose battery charge). This device solves that problem. In fact, not only does it solve the gradual loss of power issue, it doesn't require that you have the tremendously expensive fiber optic cable. Of course you'll still want a good quality cable, but you don't have to break the bank - use good judgement and common sense here. This device functions as an intermediary - providing the power as you'd expect, and allowing your good quality copper cable to send the data to the device. I suspect the device uses fiber optic (data) and copper (power) to transmit the combined data input and power down its robust 5" connector. It's rather brilliant. The other thing I really like here is you have a lot more flexibility in cable/power options. Instead of being locked into the investment of a single costly fiber optic cable (which you would be in constant fear of damaging), you can dial in cable lengths and auxiliary battery capacities as needed. Brilliant!I hope this clears up a few points about what this device does, and why it exists. I think what I appreciate most about this device is the sense of freedom it provides. Freedom of choice (batteries/cables). This would also make a great gift for the person who appreciates its true value.

Finally able to use 18w charging while using Oculus Connect.
I gave this a 4 star for the simple reason that it adds an uncomfortable bulge near your ears. It works exactly as described is a godsend for long play sessions, the down side being that you may need to change your headphone setup if you are using 3rd party headsets. Due to the extra bulk I couldn't seat my over the ears Logitech's, but had no issue going back to the Logitech earbuds, this is a small price to pay if you enjoy long game sessions.
