Great model for the price. I love that the pieces are magnetized so you can take them apart and put them back together easily. It feels heavy and of good quality. Definitely life size.

This model is close to life-sized. It seems well made and the brain can be taken out of the skull so that both the inside and the outside skull bones can be seen. The skull includes the cranial foramina (holes) for the passage of structures into and out of the cranium. Some vertebra are also shown. The brain itself separates into parts and fits together with magnets. Parts of the skull and brain are numbered, and cards accompanying the model provide labels for the numbers. Unfortunately, the model is not made so that the brain stem passes through the foramen magnum (the hole at the bottom of the skull) and I am a bit concerned that the rod and base on which the brain is attached looks fragile. All-in-all, though, I am very pleased with this model and look forward to using it for teaching purposes.

The brain and skull are great but it comes with a very weak plastic base that cracked before we even got to assemble it

However the stand base is cheap plastic which cheapens the experience. My base stand was cracked which should ecplain how cheap the stand is. That really disappointed me. The product came with two cards showing the numbered parts. I find this was too vague. For as much money as I paid. I things they could have done a better job I think they could have provided a greater breakdown of the brain and a professional dialog. The weight skull and the use of magnets is good. I just don't think the price was right. Maybe 1/3 of cost would be appropriate. I didn't like, again, there was no info providing a professional detail etc.
