Anyone hoping to be a chemist must learn quantitative techniques including titration - chemistry is not all about explosions! This burette is made of clear plastic and will not shatter like glass, so is a safe addition to the home lab. A burette stand is recommended as otherwise there is no way to use this device easily. I suppose there are some solvents that might damage this device but if so, there are no instructions to that effect.
