Product Description ------------------- "The Pivotell Mk 3/11 Automatic Pill Dispenser holds a tray which contains 29 compartments. It can be programmed to alarm and present up to 28 alarmed doses daily. The tray rotates within the dispenser and the next compartment containing pills becomes visible through an aperture in the lid and the alarm signal sounds (4 alarm sounds). The alarm can be set to sound for up to 1 hour or until the dispenser is tilted. The appropriate medication is delivered by tilting the dispenser so that the pills fall into the hand or suitable container. The alarm signal will then stop. The refill frequency will depend upon the number of daily medications (up to 28 alarms per day) for example: 7 times a day medication refill every 4 days, Twice a day medication refill every 14 days, 3 times a day medication refill every 9 days, 4 times a day medication refill every 7 days. Loading the Pivotell Mk3/11: The dispenser is supplied with clearly printed discs. The discs identify the day of the week, and the number of doses per day. The appropriate disc for the pill regime is then placed on the tray prior to filling it, and used as a guide as to where to place the pills. Start Delay function - the dispenser can be set to start at a future time, to prevent alarms going off when in a cy. Record function: The dispenser holds a record of the actual dosage times for review allowing a carer to check when medication is actually being taken. Upside Down: If a dosage time occurs when the dispenser is upside down it will alarm as usual but the tray will not move forward tipping the pills out. Security: An alarm signal (different to the dosage alarm sound) is activated if any fault should arise which effects the rotation of the dispenser. Lock: The Pivotell Mk3/11 is equipped with a lock to ensure that only the medication which is due is accessible to the user.
