My choosing this journal was driven by a desire to do more writing by hand. I wanted a nice journal for writing that I could either use for keeping a personal record. I like this journal and likely will buy more of them in the near future. It is reasonably priced and it is made well.This journal is too big to fit in a pocket but is appreciably smaller than a legal pad or regular composition notebook. It has numbered pages, up to 188, as well as a small table of contents that can be filled in – very unusual features for an inexpensive journal like this. It also has two pockets, one on the outside and one on the inside, for holding small papers and receipts. Finally, it has a magnetic clasp to keep it closed, though I will say that it is not a strong magnet and it’s likely not to hold if the journal is dropped from desk height and it lands the wrong way.A real surprise to me was the inclusion of a set of adhesive flag markers for marking pages. The product description mentions these but not in those terms and certainly not prominently, and as such this was a very pleasant surprise when I found them in the inside pocket. There are also two ribbon markers, another useful feature that I missed when first reading the description.The outer material is a faux leather that has a nice feel to it and it looks nice. It is very definitely not real leather, and most will recognize it as synthetic material at a glance. That said, it’s nicer than just a hardcover binding or vinyl, and real leather (or more upscale synthetic material) would drive up the price.If I could make one change to this journal, I would add a pen holder loop. That’s always a nice-to-have but it’s not a requirement.This journal is very reasonably priced at $11 as I write this.I am very pleased with this journal and will be working with it daily until I fill it up. At that point, I plan to get another one. It’s well-suited for both personal and professional writing.

The sizing of this journal did throw me off a little initially, it's in the middle of a standard sized notebook and one of those smaller journals you'd find at the store. The paper is great quality, and writes smoothly. The design is also very sleek, which makes it great to use in a business setting or to just keep at home.

This journal has a very nice design. It's sleek and attractive to the eye with a study cover. I love its magnetic closure, and the globe on the clasp is pretty and unique.The journal has some nice features, such as a folder at the back, two ribbon bookmarks and a table of contents at the front. When opened, the journal lays flat, which is very convenient for writing.The only thing that keeps me from giving this product a five star rating is the paper. Pen and ink bleed through, which makes it messy to look at if you intend to write on both sides of the paper. Writing in pencil only seems to be the best option.Overall this is a decent product for personal or office use. It comes in a box that can easily be wrapped and given as a gift.

Really nice notebook. The leather on it is good quality and the notebook is very sturdy, but the magnet is a bit weak, so I think it is maybe decorative. But overall great to keep it as a daily journal.
