UPDATE: It's now 2 1/2 years later. 2nd surgery went well but I needed the grab bar to safety enter & exit the shower. After all this time I still use the grab bar on a daily basis. Haven''t slipped once yet and the bar has stayed in place quite well, no slippage and haven't had to adjust it at all. I'm 5'9", weigh about 210 and I put a lot of stress on the grab bar but no problems. Due to its placement I also use it to get up & down from/to the toilet. One of the singularly best products I've ever purchased. If I move in the future, the grab bar stays here but I'll buy more for every shower/bathtub I have in the house. Can't recommend highly enough.I'm going in for a second back surgery next week. Last go around I had a lot of trouble getting in and out of the tub/shower; my wife had to help me. I had another Stander product, the Security Pole with Grab Bars and it worked great for helping me get out of my chair & bed. Saw this and decided to give it a try. Works great. I can put full weight on it and it still secure. Did have a little trouble finding the exact centers of studs for mounting and had to use longer screws than were provided but all in all I'm extremely happy and feel much safer. Highly recommend.

Having a large soaker tub is nice, however it can be difficult to enter and exit, especially when wet. This grab bar is a great solution.

This is absolutely perfect in our small bathroom. Love the versatility of the curved bar.

I had this installed outside the bathtub. The rotation and locking positions allow me to hold on while in the shower. Its stability also allows me to get in and out of the tub by myself. At first, having such a bar in my bath made me feel a bit sad, as did my disability in general. But not having to have help getting in and out of the shower makes me feel more independent. It makes my life possible, and for that I am so very grateful. Great product, great transaction. It's been installed about a year, with no issues whatsoever.

Feels like a solid product, but didn't work for our bathroom.

I installed this next to my toilet about a year ago and it has been very useful in accommodating my arthritis with the layout of my bathroom. It has been used multiple times a day for the last year with the rotating handles at a 90 degree angle from the wall. However, today the part that rotates seemed to suddenly get very loose. I took it apart and found that the bolt that attaches the horizontal and vertical bars had snapped and the metal around the hole closest to where the horizontal bar attaches had "torn" (see the pictures). I weigh well under the 300 lb weight limit and there was no unusual use or abuse of the item. In summary, the idea behind this is good (perhaps excellent) but the implementation was less than good. It needs thicker metal tubing and a stronger bolt. With the use of a hammer and another bolt I was able to cobble the grab bar back together, but I am not sure how long it will hold together.

This is designed to move around and you can change the direction of the handle. It is very strong and gives support when someone needs to hang on to something. If a person has to be cleaned, dressed and /or dealt with, it is perfect for a person that can not stand by themselves very long.

Needed a fix for my bathroom for mother in law. This allows her to stand and have other assistance and not in the way.
