My brand new DR Horton home (don't ever buy one, DR Horton is by far the WORST home builder), is a complete mess. From day 1, ALL of my over-head flush LED lights have been flickering. They have all been replaced three times by the manufacture (Maxim lighting) and yet I was still having flickering issues. I have done everything from having my electrical box inspected, having my street connects inspected, having the wiring in my home inspected, etc, NOTHING WORKED. I decided to buy these lights as I was seeing no one complained of flickering and won't you know it, NO MORE FLICKERING. I only bought 12 but will be buying 36 more to replace ALL of my cheap Maxim lights. If you have a new build home with flickering lights, replace them with these and make the builder pay for it.

First off, Amico makes another set of lights very similar to these ones but with some key differences. In this thumbnail, they show a white-ish color light. In the other thumbnail, it's similar but multi-color blue and yellow hues. Otherwise they are named the exact same. However, this current product is superior to the other version, in my opinion. It is easier to change the light color post install and it has a gasket to air seal the ceiling penetration. Also generally looks better than the other version. However, it cannot be installed in an existing can light set up. That being said, I'd recommend these over the other version. I installed 42 of them in my home and it was fairly simple. Install took me about 5-10 minutes per light. Another great feature I noticed with these is that they dim down very, very low on a dimmer switch--much lower than most LEDs I've seen. I highly recommend these.

Unless your lights are on joist or preinstalled in-ceiling cups, installing these lights would be difficult as it does not come with anything to mount the light. Two holes for screws and that's it. Fortunately all my old 2700k lights were installed on joist so I was able to take them out and screw these on. No light bleeding to ceiling (a major issue with Sunco). Also very easy to change the light color without dismounting the light (another major issue with Sunco which had CCT switch behind the light. 4000k transformed our kitchen.

These lights are great. They need virtually no space above them to mount on the ceiling. Quick and easy. Look great. LEDs last forever and use almost no electricity. They are dimmable. Great value.

We had several cheap light fixtures from the mid 1960s to 1980s around our home - particularly in the hallways, stair landings, and entryways. You get used to them after a while - but my wife had been bugging me to swap them out for something more modern for a long time. When I saw this 12 pack of disk lights, I was hoping they would fit the bill. The price (less that $5 each at the time of this writing) was really good and I liked the look and size and the fact that one pack could replace all the old lights (and leave a couple if one happened to be bad - but the ones I got all worked perfectly).These are really thin and hug up tight against the ceiling. (Because of my popcorn acoustic ceiling they were not always exactly flush - but that isn't the product's fault.) The LED circuit board is attached to a thin metal back plate that is covered by a plastic diffusing lens. When the plastic cover is off, can see the mounting holes and after you wire in the light, you screw it right to the junction box. The plastic light cover then screws back on (counter-clockwise for some reason) and you are done. The screws and the wire nuts are included. These were really easy and all of them I added worked perfectly. The light color is switchable (5 settings - so I was able to get a color that my wife liked).I love the sleek modern look - and they give off significantly more light than the single bulbs (probably 60 or 100 watt) that we were using before. You can see the before and after pictures. Keep in mind that there is only about 110 degree viewing angle for the light - so the ceiling is a bit darker than with the previous lights - but who is looking up at the ceiling?I am really happy with these - and I think you'll like them too.

I received the items intact in the box, nothing is damaged as far as I can tell. I am waiting to install these during a remodel project. I will update once we install these lights. I am hoping these will make great replacements for the current can lighting. No more buying bulbs to replace burnt out lights (and guessing the right kind)!

So happy to have come across these. I absolutely love the look and feel of a disc light- so when we decided to convert our bus into a skoolie I knew I wanted something similar to this to use as it takes up no space and puts off a whole lot of light! These came with everything needed and were super simple to install and assemble. Took hardly any time at all and was no more difficult than installing any other regular household light. They look great and fit flush against the ceiling. Love that you can choose the light dimness and brightness as most of the time if it's a cloudy day I want a bright light to mimic a more sunny day, but at night when you still want light but you are ready to relax that dim light works magic! I would definitely recommend these!

I wish I could replace my can lights with this light but they only work on junction boxes. They are super easy to install and look great!!! I replaced old porcelain bulb holders that were in my garage, workshop and closets in my home as well as some of the old big "bowl" glass fixtures that hung down almost a foot from the ceiling. Such a super upgrade. I highly recommend these lights!
