I ordered this for a friend, and use a similar unit to obfuscate personal information on mailed items that are mostly generic (credit offers and such). I shred more sensitive documents, but a security roller saves a LOT of shredding. It covers everything from handwriting in colored in to barcodes, and works on most surfaces except those printed onto plastic, for which a black permanent marker can be used.

Like a lot of people on here I have noticed that when used on labels for FedEx or UPS or on pre-packaged boxes or bags that have a very sheen finish it tends to wipe off pretty easily, of course this product isn't meant for super secure things but just be mindful that if not done correctly you can definitely see through it, I've learned if you just lightly press and roll it slowly you get better results but most of it's just trial and error plus it is little awkward to use since the brush head doesn't really seem to give any so it doesn't work on any contours which for a few bucks isn't bad. Has pretty good ink life though I've had it for a few months and used it on about 30 packages and just started to notice it was fading so decent for a few drops of ink here in there.

I liked how easy it was to use. It blacks out the information easily. It does not really cover any names on a prescription bottle though.

It works well and clearly shows, what it should do. I would recommend it. I also would buy it again.

You can buy ink to reload these. The other one I bought (ink police) when the ink is low you must buy a new one. These have a hole to insert the ink on the reload

The media could not be loaded.  I ordered this yesterday and received it today which was awesome 😎. But that’s where the awesome ends 😒.1 • Product is smaller than anticipated but that’s not necessarily their fault lol2 • The main issue is that the product does NOT give full coverage (see my video). In most cases when covering black ink you have to give at least two passes otherwise you can still see what’s underneath3 • If the text you’re attempting to cover is shiny or raised at all this will not cover it. You will still be able to see the text behind what the rollers ink. I would show a picture but then you’d see what I don’t want you to see 😝4 • Works best on light colored inkI did go through my pile of papers and swipe everything (multiple times) but I don’t feel comfortable putting in the trash like this so im still going to have to shred it. I would not purchase again nor would I recommend it.

I tried using this to cover over my address on Amazon parcels, it dosen't work you can clearly see the address after going over it.

I just received this, tried it out - works exactly as I had hoped. Quick, easy, effective. I was looking to replace my shredder/waste paper basket as I live in a small space. As long as the ink doesn't dry up too quickly, this is a winner!
